Gisler closed a year before my children were to attend and Burke closed while they were students at Burke. 21) Ilicia Higginbotham - please leave our city the way it is. we have plenty of homes and don't want our schools any more crowded. we have all these empty schools and our kids are being educated in portable classrooms taking up the playgrounds!

22) Steve Higginbotham

23) Carmen J. Smith

24) Julie Doose - The school district needs, for once to think about the our kids. If they think that high price homes do not attract families, then take a look at Seacliff. Close that not more of our schools and interrupting our kids lives. I did not vote for this board because of their poor decision making.

25) Judith B. Reiner - As a 32-year resident of Huntington Beach in the Geisler district and neighbor of Brethren Christian it grieves me that we are once again having to fight this battle to save our precious resources for our children. Once these spaces are gone they cannot be retrieved and selling off school properties seems very short-sighted. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

26) Joanne C. Colley - I have been a neighbor of Brethren Christian School since they first leased the property and better neighbors could never be found. The soccer fields have undergone total renovation and renewal in recent years that provide resources for children and adults from all of Huntington Beach. We continue to lose "green space" daily in the name of progress but soon we will discover that no space survives and once gone there is no retrieving it. Think about future generations and the impact decisions like these will have on them. Your studied consideration in this matter is appreciated.

46) Ed Sanborn - I have been a citizen of Huntington Beach since 1969. I grew up in this City, was married in this City, bought my first home in this City, pay taxes in this City and own a business in this City. My child has attended Huntington Christian School and I would be sadly disappointed to see the school sold for a few dollars. That would be extremely short sighted. The school has worked hard to provide an excellent Christian, academic and social environment that is wonderful for our kids. They must be doing something right, as the classes are all full and there are people on waiting lists to get in. The members of the school board need to step up and put the welfare of our kids and future generations of kids in the forefront. I absolutely do not want these schools sold.

143) Crystal Kerins

144) Denise Guptill - Not only do my children go to Huntington Christian School, but I also live in the track where the school is located. The school provides a wonderful education for my and the other children who attend, and the school maintains beautiful grounds within our community. Brethren Christian also provides the same benefits for our children and the community. These sites are used not only by the children who attend these schools, but also by the larger community for weekend and sport-related activities. These sites need to be preserved as they are!!!!!

IT IS VERY INFORMATIVE AND ALARMING WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR CHILDREN. BILL AND MELINDA ARE ON A MISSION TO EDUCATE ABOUT THESE ISSUES AND TO HELP SCHOOLS IN OUR COUNTRY AND THE CHILDREN WHICH ATTEND THEM. 165) Sheridan Swanson

166) Anthony Smith - Huntington Beach has enough houses and people for its size. We do need to preserve valuable resources such as the Gisler school facility which is contributing to the quality of life in this community as a school and playing fields used by hundreds of our children.

167) Mark Cooper

168) Sandra Cooper

169) Bernice Smith - What else can be taken from our children!!! Please do not build on this land as our children for many years to come will enjoy and look back on their early years learning and playing at these locations.

171) Viki Principato - Please keep our school!!

180) Joan De Roock - parent of HCS student

181) Dirk De Roock

182) Kim Douglass - there is so little space in HB as it is for our children to enjoy sports activities. These sites are home to SeaView Little League, one of the most well-maintained fields in our city, and AYSO also uses these sites. Where are our children going to go if you sell these sites? Do you realize the numbers of children, present and future that your decisions could affect? Think of the community, not your pockets.

201) Ron Ahrens

202) Carol Masterson

203) Mary Ann Ahrens - My granddaughter started at HCS last year in kindergarten and learned so much more than she could possibly have learned in an overcrowded public school. This wasn't just "book learning" -- she learned to be kind, courteous and to have a heart for other people. I can't understand why you would possibly force parents to move their children out of HB to find a private school that would continue the high level of excellence and citizenship that they are learning at HCS and Brethren. Please reconsider and keep these two valuable assets in the community. Thank you for your consideration. God's blessings on you all.

204) Jayme Markle - My child attends Huntington Christian School. I have found her education there to consistently exceed my expectations. My daughter needs her education more than HB needs more cookie cutter homes.

215) Cassandra Wurm - The already increased development in Huntington since we moved here in 1993 has caused more congestion on our roads. We means more cars and therefore more pollution for our city. I think that the education of our children should be more of a concern than more homes. The removal of the existing schools will cause an influx of children into other schools making it more crowded and giving less of one on one with current teachers.

216) Michael Meer - I have lived here 14+ years and am appalled at the continued loss of space. I hope the school board knows that if they kill the space off, they are destroying there re-election options. I, for one, will make every effort to elect someone else if this happens!

217) David Richman - I have been a resident of HB for 19 years and have voted for every school bond. With four of five board members making the incredibly stupid decision to accept offers on irreplaceable land in a down real estate market, I feel the board no longer deserves our support.

Our daughter played AYSO soccer on the campus of Brethren Christian for more than four years. Both of these sites are an asset to our children and community. It would be a shame to sell them to add more housing!

231) Karen Hoida

232) Todd Hoida

233) Michael Hoida

234) Chase Hoida

235) Susan Claudius - I have no axe to grind in this. I do not have children in the school now operating at Gisler nor do I have children in Little League. My children are grown and were brought up in Huntington Beach and thrived here. They had the good fortune to learn the lessons of independence by riding their bikes to Little League practice--something children can not do if fields are not somewhat local--where are they going to play if you sell the fields? The sports complex is some distance from many parts of the city. They had vacant lots to walk by on their way to school--there few if any left in the city. I would not like to see these things spoiled for the children growing up here now. And isn't this a disadvantageous time to be selling land to developers? You will never get the best price in this market. I would hope you would let the city enjoy being a local community.

236) Cara Jones

272) John Hobson

273) Bradley Schumann - What does the city plan to do when the housing market finally turns over from the 50+ age owners to younger owners with kids? Most of the people that bought in the mid to late sixties will have moved or be dead in the next 10-20 years. There won't be enough schools to go around for the new crop of kids. Also, there is little park and field space as it is, where is everyone supposed to hang out and play sports when all the land is being sold to private interests?

274) Debbie Schumann

284) Jeffrey Fitzhugh

285) Don Class - The poor management of funds demonstrated by our school district and the drastic actions that the district is trying to take to "fix" this egregious mismanagement is absurd. I do NOT buy the argument that selling properties to developers will promote the community in the future. Community growth is fine, but becomes ridiculously contradictory when it replaces precious resources already in place and readily utilized by the members of that community (who by such usage are promoting the sense of community, sense of belonging to/pride in that community, being actively involved in said community which inevitably leads to it's prosperity

You are not making Huntington Beach a family city. This makes me said, I am a native of Huntington Beach. Don't destroy our great community of schools and sports. Where are we going to go?

312) Kristine Byer - I do not want Huntington Beach City School District to sell school sites to developers. I want to have them preserved for school and community resources both now and in the future.

313) Sharon Webb - WE do not want the school sites to be sold. We have attended HCS since it opened in 2002. We have improved the neighborhood...have used the fields for team sports..and have been able to have a school with small class sizes and teach the morals we believe in. To loose these sites would be detrimental to our district. WE DO NOT need more houses. We need more space and less people. See what happens to a society of rats when they are overcrowded.....they kill each other off. Please keep our schools available to us.

Please help preserve our community and school district as desirable. Please do the right thing for our kids, community, and quality of life.

355) Carol Hardy - We have no children, grand children or great grand children in the district, but we pay for those here. Leave those properties alone, we any need them later.

356) Richard Kolander - I live directly across the street from Brethren Christian and feel it would me a mistake to sell this site. The school district collects almost a half millions dollars in rent now. Why not sign a long term lease and have the school site available for our future needs

357) Linda Williams - Huntington Beach needs the open spaces that are left, not just for the kids but for the community. Putting up more houses would change our city in a negative way.

To terminate the leases of these and others that benefit the community to build more homes, which are not needed, is a crime against the citizens of Huntington Beach.

368) Richard Wilson - Instead of looking at the big dollar of developers, the school district should consider the dollar being paid to it now and the effect on the community as a whole. Keep HCS, Brethern Christian and other facilities that are leased and bringing in an income for the sake of our families and the community!

369) Donald Craft - Selling any schools at this time would be "painting the community into a corner". Open space for use by the citizens of the city should be considered as a requirement and there may also be a need for is additional schools in the future. 423) Stacy LaBrake - These are a vital part of this community- I am outraged at the thought!

424) Bryan Bullette - Let's not be short-sited. These schools are insurance policies for growth in the educational needs of future generations. They are also paying dividends today by providing a revenue stream and a quality of life for our children. Should these sites be sold and even a conservative approach adopted where the proceeds are placed in a long-term trust for the use of the school district, there is no assurance that the funds wonGÇÖt be squandered by future administrations. It is only a sign of more to come. Pretty soon, we are a field of homes packed in like sardines with not place to congregate as a community. Please do not sell to a developer and destroy our fields!

444) Debra Jubinsky

445) Timothy A. Pointer - 9531 Dumbreck Dr. H.B. 92646 We need these sites for community private schools, recreation, and children sports activities. Where else are these children going to go? Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, North H.B. This approval by the H.B. City School District totally discounts the citizens use of these areas for developer's greed in a decreasing housing market cycle. I am a General Contractor by trade and this doesn't make sense to me as I also coach soccer & baseball on these fields as well. My children also attend one of the private schools.

As our world changes it is very important to keep as much GREEN SPACE around as we can. Please take a look at the big picture here, 4 to 5 homes per acre or displacing thousands of young and old kids from their schools, parks and maybe their city. DON'T BUILD HOMES!

466) Kristi Reynolds

467) Katherine Jackson - When moving to Southern California we had many options of where to make a home for our family of 6. We chose HB because unlike all the cities around it, it actually has a personality, a culture, a community. Within months of buying our home, our children's elementary school, Kettler, was closed down. And now greed threatens to take away our son's little league baseball field. With homes sitting on the market unsold for months, and values dropping dramatically, selling off to developers makes no sense. And to take away what makes HB unique and special, the parks and schools which are the gathering places for this community, will devalue this area even more.

468) Michelle MacQuiddy - we really need the schools more than we need additional housing in Huntington Beach. Thank you!

469) Suzanne Olsen

470) Kory Olsen

471) Don W. Zylstra - I am a parent of two HCS students and I have coached AYSO soccer for seven years. Both HCS and AYSO have made significant dollar investments in their respective properties with the understanding that they had long-term leases. For the School District to sell off these properties, the result would be a massive loss and waste of funds that could have been better spent. Both AYSO and HSC deserve better from the School District.

472) Sherrie Wolfe - Not only do we need to preserve some open spaces but let's pay attention to the added traffic that all these new homes will create.

473) Carol Ballard

474) Natalie Wagers - HBSD volunteer (Kettler, Moffett & Sowers

475) Alisa Cutchen

476) Denis Arsenault

495) Julie Weaver - As a Mother and Aunt to children who all participate in soccer and baseball, I can't imagine having places that are close to home for them to play. Aren't we already over saturated with homes here in HB??

496) Shelley Keltner - Gisler and Burke tenants provide significant "unrestricted funds" to HBCSD. The district is looking to create ongoing revenue streams, negotiating longer term leases with the current tenants is a win-win for the community and district. Our open space should not be considered for sale-a suitable alternative must be considered. It is quite likely that funds generated from a sale will be restricted. Using money as the sole factor to make a decision is a reckless and short-sighted solution.

497) Kathleen M. Daigle

498) Chris Swartz

499) Tricia Swartz

500) John Cardullo - Selling property is easier than economizing and planning for the future, but selling is also a sure way to loose the next election or maybe be removed from your current position. That's how strongly our community feels about saving school and greenbelt for our children.

501) Mrs. John Cardullo

502) Greg Macias - preserve the seaview little league site!!!!

503) Adam Kaae - This is such a travesty. These public locations are critical to the health and well being of every child that touches foot there. How could the development of housing at these parks ever be considered beneficial to the children of Huntington Beach? More density, more traffic, less open space... Hold on to these precious resources for kids, not homes!

504) Matthew Kaae - The Kids need the open spaces!

505) Tom Power - Our parks and open field sites that we have make our homes a special place to live. More homes, and less space to enjoy our lives are not a valued thing. The little league space alone offers so much to our young children's growth and development, it would be a crying shame if that space is lost to homes. Please don't sell our school sites to developers.

506) Jeff Kress - We need to preserve our precious open space for our children. They are our future and childhood obesity has become epidemic. To sell this land that they use to play in would be a crime to humanity.

507) Tim Skaggs

508) michelle johnson

519) Fran Leibowitz - We have lived in the Kettler School tract for over 30 years. Please preserve our schools and our parks. HB has enough homes, concrete and asphalt. We need to keep the green grass, trees and open spaces. That is the beauty of HB. PLEASE, don't destroy that beauty of our city with over development.

520) Ira Leibowitz - The city is getting too dense, please save these lands for public use. I would support a tax to pay for development for public use.

521) Nancy Withers

522) Michael Withers

523) Suzette Perez - Let's learn by the mistakes LA has made. Their children are bored and frustrated. Their crimes rates speak for themselves. I think we can be smarter than that. We owe it to our kids. They have so little freedom because of our unsafe society. Let's keep these safe haven sites a place that we as educated and responsible adults preserve for our community.

There is no going back.

537) Rick Bagby - "An error becomes a mistake ONLY when you fail to correct it!" PLEASE find an alternative plan to meet budget challenges other than selling our schools and open play areas. I do not want something taken away from them that encourages healthy outside exercise and socialization. please take this into consideration.

563) Kevin W. Brown - 1. The school district didn't project the current over-abundance of school space, so how can they project what will happen in 10-15 years? We might NEED more school space then, so where would they get it? Even now, Sowers is maxed out and using portables, so we may need the Brethren site sooner than we think! 2. Does the Board expect to use the sale proceeds to fix the short-term budget (bad idea

564) Kimberly Pinkham

565) Scott Pinkham

566) James Clayton - The last thing this community needs is more development, and or home construction!!! Do what is right...we need not be money whores!!

567) LILLIANA BARONE

568) DYLAN BARONE

569) Melody Price - The last thing we need is more homes. Can't we raise just as much tax money by renting out schools ? I have a vacant school next to me and it has been vacant for a long time. What a waste of taxpayers money. Especially after the millions of dollars spent on redoing the property. just my opinion

570) WILLIAM BENNYWORTH - I HAVE 4 CHILDREN WHO ARE INVOLVED IN CUB SCOUTS, GIRL SCOUTS, AND YOUTH SPORTS, ALL OF WHICH MAKE USE OF THESE SITES. IT IS APPARENT THAT THE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS WHO VOTED, EITHER DON'T LIVE IN THE AREA, OR JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PROPER UP-BRINGING OF THE CHILDREN WHO DO MAKE THIS GREAT SOUTHEAST HUNTINGTON BEACH THEIR HOME. THIS JUST GOES TO SHOW YA, THAT ALL MIGHTY BUCK WILL ALWAYS TAKE THE TROPHY OVER THE EXPENDABLE FOLKS WHO TRULY MAKE THIS NEIGHBORHOOD GREAT, (LET ME TELL YA, IT AIN'T THE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS!!!

571) Tom Petrosino - Once the property is sold-off and all the money is spent (within a year or 2, maybe 3 at the most

572) Gary Stuart

573) Jacqui Lewis - We live in one of these neighborhoods and plan to send our son to Brethren Christian High School. The sale of these sites would be a huge loss and a huge mistake - we definitely do not need more houses in this area and we definitely do need to keep what little open and green space we already have. We also need to provide space so private schools can operate locally - otherwise our children who wish to pursue a Christian education have to go and spend their dollars in other cities, far away. Look at Irvine - they have tons of open, green space and tons of private school, we do not - are we so interested in money that we are willing to look like some low-class city that has nothing but housing? It would be a huge mistake to let go of what few fields we have - where will the children play soccer or run and play at all, and what will the city look like when it has no school space available? Huntington Beach School District would be overwhelmingly short-sighted if they were to sell these school sites - where will all those children who move in even go to school???

574) Chris Lewis

575) Donia Hodge

576) Stephen Marciniec - Please do not demolish schools and their fields to build more houses. Huntington Beach already has a very high housing density. Unlike some other parts of the country, the vast majority of homes here don't have large yards where children can play sports. The parks and fields associated with these schools are vital to keep our kids active and fit.

577) Michelle Marciniec

578) Julie Kollar

579) Steven Warren - Open land is becoming scarce, HB is supposed to have so much open land per concentration of population. Let's not crowd more people into an area with less open land for recreation! Selling precious school properties is a short term band-aid to a bigger problem that will come back to bite!

580) Kathy Warren

581) jack hubbard - I support our cause to prevent any erosion of our family oriented valuable space.

The children will realize more benefits from the use of the Christian school than they would from money the city would get from developers and property owners in taxes after development.

608) Laurie Wilson

609) Geoff Wilson

610) Paul L. Page - The school board of directors need to step up to the plate. Is this the legacy they want to leave for themselves. Don't do irreversible decisions that will impact the future of children.

611) Pattie Siegel

612) David Slader - 1. The School Board must be held ethically and fiscally accountable to the tax payers 2. We may be able to conduct a voter recall if they are not. A recall can be based on Nonfeasance (the intentional, repeated failure to perform required duties of the officer 3. But first, we need to force them to present their plan to a independent review board of selected financial and community experts

656) Jim Gatherum - Enough development. Save the park!

657) Linda King

658) Joe Alvarez - I have lived in southern California all my life and have watched how this beautiful area is being destroyed by overbuilding. When do we say enough? There are too many people which create trash, human waste, traffic, not to mention a lower quality of life. Personally I don't care if another home builder gets rich.

659) Joseph Ferretti - These properties are totally priceless to our community. Once they are gone, there will be no reversal of the damage that will be wrought by the sale of any of them. As these properties would have to be sold to residential developers, where does the board expect/PLAN for those families' kids to go to school--more portables? Maybe on the beach or at Central park? Further, if school enrollment is actually declining, at best, isn't that indicative of no growth in HB's population or at worst, a decline in HB's population at large? If so, do we need more houses? Certainly, to listen to the laments of most of the board members, these prospective developers won't be able to market the quality of our school system as an enticement to the prospective new home buyer. According to the board itself, the district is way under funded (or way over budget, depending on perspective

660) Allison Alvarez - With the direction that public schools are going I believe it is very important to keep our private schools going. Developers will need to go somewhere else.

671) Uri Azgour - 20662 Spindrift Lane Huntington Beach, CA 92646

672) Charles Trout - If this property was given to the school district and now they need it; I suggest that if and when new schools are needed that this school district be financially held responsible to obtain new land and building for future needs. My understand is that the current schools were donated to the school district by developers. It was for the family and residents of the community. How can they then sell it for financial gain?

673) Terri Siegel

674) Douglas Washburn - and family We need more parks not less. Open space in pmortant to the health of the community

675) Cathie Lightfoot

676) James Taylor - save Lebard for the children

677) Geraldine Taylor - save Lebard for the children who are the future of our country

678) Lisa Jones Barker - These schools and facilities are vital, contributing parts of the quality of life in Huntington Beach. Let's not take the easy way out to solve budget problems. The last thing we need in HB is a higher population density. Preserve these green spaces please!!!

679) George Barker

680) Elliott Sutton - Please remember to keep these green areas open for all our neighbors and our city. Our neighborhood needs the schools close to the families and all of us enjoy the open areas for walks and recreation.

709) Guy Buker

710) Cindy McVey

711) Nola Cooper - My family has been in HB since the 1920s. I was born, raised and educated here as were my two sons. Living across the park from Huntington Christian School I have seen what a wonderful job they have done for the neighborhood. They have improved and maintained a facility owned by the school district. If this were a vacant, dilapidated property I could understand the district considering a sale. Why not continue to lease to this beneficial occupant and retain ownership in case of future enrollment growth and need for more schools? If the property were sold, where would the district find property in the area to house future students? Being a nearby resident I would not be in favor of further residential development and loss of open space, but even more important is retention of the property for the school district.

755) Cindy Wick - I strongly agree.

756) Barbara Vuncanon - I love having Huntington Christian School on site in a location that is meant for and should stay as it was intended - a school! 774) David Martin

775) Joyce Salter

776) Jim Salter

777) Debbie Lee Stair - I am also a neighbor of Brethren Christian School, and agree that they provide resources for children and adults from all of Huntington Beach. If these school sites are sold to developers, it will only increase the amount of students in the area and over crowd the schools. There are many homes for sale right now in HB. We don't need additional concrete at the cost of losing "green space."

778) Joslyn Wood

779) Sheldon Nadler

780) Lisa Nadler

781) Lora Wood

782) Stan Wood

783) Edward Kenneth Francis Jr.

784) Mary Oakes - Please keep the Huntington Christian School on Levee. It has been a wonderful addition to our neighborhood.

785) Stephanie Allespach

786) Susan Schaben - We would like the city to keep our school sites for the future of Huntington Beach's residents.

787) Allen Schaben

788) Melissa Berdelis

789) Michael Berdelis

790) Kenneth E. Normann - Keep our open Space! Don't put in High Density low income housing and lower our property values!

791) steve motske

792) mary motske

793) Sharon Augenstein - the existing schools are already packed and over capacity. Taking away the existing school sites and adding more houses will only add more kids to our schoolsystem, stressing our existing resources even more and lowering the quality of education our children receive!

794) MaryAnn Augenstein - we need to keep these school sites open for the future. The population of HB will turn. We have already seen a number of new young families move into the area. We need to maintain enough space to provide our city's children with quality education. Cramming them in to fewer schools is not the answer.

795) James Lombardo - Is it really necessary to convert existing parks to housing developments? What about our children? Will there be land allocated to replace the park acreage? WE NEED MORE PARKS...not less...

796) Teresa Lockwood

797) Marcia Margolis

798) Margarita Soloria - A society is judged on how well they treat their elderly and their children...how do you want to be known?

799) Loleen Klueger

800) Varini DESILVA - The reason for living in HB is the beautiful environment and ambiance. If developers are allowed to build in the scarce open and green areas we have left this city will end up as a congested eyesore!! PLEASE do not let greed overcome common sense and good values. A very concerned HB resident.

801) Marinka Horack - My comments: The Public Schools belong to the public whose taxes paid for them. School campuses are an important part of the community's permanent open space, and serve as sports playing fields and park space. The loss of open space forever is too drastic a decision to be made by only 5 people. The District must listen to the taxpayers on this one. What will you do when high density housing is put in place of the open space. Where will you find classroom space for all the new children that move into the new housing? The Quality of Life of our community will go downhill with less open space, more density, traffic, and demand on city and county services. Once the profits from the sale of schools are spent, they are gone. Real estate, however is always of value. Continue to lease the campuses. That's a much longer term investment in the future of our community and schools. - signed, Marinka Horack, HB Resident

802) Lena Hayashi - In our already built out city, let's keep the traffic and density down by continuing to lease to the private schools or converting the space for passive or active recreational parks. Incorporating native plants which are drought tolerant would be ideal. There are many that are beautiful year around!

803) John Scott

804) Fred Galluccio, MD FAAFP - It is not likely that we will have less children in the future. Past experiences with selling schools in areas where the normal cycle of an aging area "recycles" to a younger area with children, has shown that this is a mistake. It costs more to repurchase the property if it is even possible later. The money that is made now is short sited in its accumulation and use. Please do not sell this land off. If you like make it into open space and rebuild later as needed...more development would only increase the need for more schools. It does not make sense to me, at all, to sell off our school land.

805) Joe Shaw

806) Lori Costigan

807) Jan Vandersloot - Open space and parks become more valuable to a community, the bigger and more congested the community gets. These school sites should not be sold off to developers but retained for school and community resources.

808) Theresa Chaque - I am against selling these school grounds to developers. They need to be used for parks, open space, sports facilities, senior centers, or something for our children and citizens. Once they are gone they are gone. Irreplaceable. Build a community garden on one or an urban forest. Put in a field of solar panels and sell electricity. Create something on these sites other than more condos, buildings, stores, cement, paving, noise, traffic, etc. Don't you think we have enough of that? You may even be able to acquire enough money or make money to keep the sites. There are grants and other resources if you just look beyond just selling the land to make money. Get creative and do the right thing for us.

809) TIM F. DELENER - I do not want the Huntington Beach City School District to sell school sites to developers. I want to have them preserved for school and community resources, both now and in the future.

810) Eileen Murphy - It is always so shortsighted because a neighborhood gets older to sell the schools. Those houses will be resold to families and the school cycle will start again. if we don't learn from the past we have to relive it. It happens everytime with the developers ready to pounce in and build on the school sites. Don't sell the sites.

811) Lynda A. Hernandez - Let's take a long-term view of Huntington Beach's community needs. Do not sell the land connected to four schools. Developers will grab it up, develop homes and increase the traffic in our neighborhoods. We will need these schools again so just lease them. Thank you!

812) Maureen Vasquez

813) Richard Vasquez

814) AHMET YAVUZ KAVALCIOGLU

815) Catherine Muncey

816) Marie Bisson - Please keep LeBard School open. The neighbors are afraid of high-rise condominiums going in --they would be right across the street from some of us.

817) Barry A. Bisson - The school district presently has no need of money from such a sale. If money is received, it will be wasted!! (now is not an advantageous time to sell anyway

818) Barbara Davison - Please save the little bit of vacant land that HB has...No more houses

819) Doyle Davison

820) Marian L. Crisell - at the rate H.B. is growing it would be foolish to sell and then later have to buy land for new school buildings. Better to keep what exists and lease it until needed.

821) sezen aliyazicioglu

822) Jevon Hadley - You have a responsibility to the people in this city to ensure that our children have a place to play. We ask that you honor the trust placed in you by your community

823) Nancy Hadley

824) Amber Witherby

825) Monica Reuter

826) Lesley Peterson - I thought the schools that are being occupied were too crowded as it is. Why not utilize the schools that we have. It would cost less to fix them up than to build new.

827) Bill DeMeulle - I have lived here for more than 45 years and this topic keeps coming up. When will they learn we don't need any more homes and we may need more schools, when will the developers learn. Read our lips NO!!!!

829) Kim Barone

830) Julian Vochelli

831) Janet Vochelli

832) Mr. Julian Vochelli - It's literally heart-breaking to witness the incremental destruction of nearly all of our open spaces and parks under the name of "progress" (pushed by ruthless developers and greedy real estate people

833) Laura Peterson

834) Kathy Novelli

835) Leo Novelli

836) Kenneth Todd

837) Staci Stinson

838) David Carman - We need to save our green areas, even if all they are are old run down schools. They are used for many different community organizations. Just drive by any given one on a Saturday morning there are people there.

839) Jennifer Todd

840) Kristin Johnson

841) Joy Frye - Both of my kids play in Seaview Little League. They were heartbroken at the news that they might not be able to play in our neighborhood any more. Please save our fields!

842) Rex Frye

843) Christian Cuellar

844) Nancy Pierson - This would be absolutely devastating to our kids...we do not need anymore homes, we need places for our kids to go instead!

845) Steve Dimond - Huntington Beach, CA. Please do not sell off the properties. Continue the leases to the private schools or maintain the properties as open space parklands. The property is much to valuable to the people of HB and, eventually, it is possible that we will need the properties once again for public schools or some other equally important public issue. HB is nearly built out. Let's maintain the ownership of what we can so that we do not have to condemn and take private property in the future for something that these properties would be quite appropriate for.

846) Sarah Toscano

847) Benito Casados - These resources should be preserved for educational and community use only. Once this land is gone there is no way of recovering it. We do not need more residents, more cars and more congestion in Huntington Beach. Let try to preserve the quality of life in our community!

848) Harriet Miller

849) Deborah Janus - Please do not sell off all of these school properties.

850) James A Salywoda

851) Eleanor Salywoda

852) Joanne Richardson - I have lived in HB for 41 years and I've seen all the changes. We DO NOT need any more houses, traffic or congestion. PLEASE Robert and Joanne Richardson

853) Lynn Thomas

854) Jaleah Brown - It is foolish to sell these properties. It is valuable resource for our district to maintain. NO NO NO

855) Stephanie Satterfield - Please don't sell our green space! With the rate of childhood obesity on the rise, our children need more than our beach area to keep fit. They need baseball and soccer fields in Southeast Huntington Beach (in their neighborhoods, not across town

856) Garrett Stinson - I am 35 years old, I was born and raised in Huntington Beach (HB

857) Kathryn Cardullo

858) Chris Cardullo

859) Sandy Wheeler - PTA Parent - Unlike Newport Mesa Huntington Beach City School District does not receive any increase in sales tax on property that way we need a Mellow Ruse tax on all new building and homes in Huntington. What does that mean? It is a form of financing that can be used by cities, counties, and special districts (such as school districts

Most of these sites are in use and receiving lease money which needs to be sufficient to keep them available for the community. If the District is in need of more money, maybe DeLuca, the Superintendent of schools, shouldn't have given herself a 30% pay increase last year!

893) Kelly S. Estrella

894) Tami Schram

895) Sean Heckethorn - School sights and land in general are a precious resource not to be frivolously managed. It would be very short sighted for the district to even consider the sale of one school site.

896) Jackie Heckethorn - I am VERY MUCH OPPOSED to even the consideration of selling any schools, parks and sports/recreation open space.

897) Linda Garvey

898) Timothy Garvey

899) Joan McLoughlin - The excuse that enrollment is down is a poor argument. Our school classes are still over crowded and the school closures just increased class size. It certainly has done nothing to help class size reduction. And as a resident of the Seabury homes in the Kettler tract, we have plenty of small children that are either elementary school level or soon to be.

900) Peter McLoughlin

901) Carrin Francis Spalding - I am a Home Owner in the track and have children who attend HCS, please don't sell!!

902) Steve Litz - I have a home on Silver Strand Drive in one of the tracks, and do not want this property to be developed. Our children attend HCS and would loose their school.

936) Kristine Wetzel - I was born and raised in HB. This side of Huntington has always gotten the short end of the stick. I would hate to see more houses built where there is little enough open space as it is. Also, when they develop these new homes, where are the planning on putting the children who will attend school in these areas. Our children are already attending school in a number of portables (especially Sowers

942) Dr. Belinda Moy Lee, O. D. H. B. - resident 10 years. My eight year old twin girls play soccer 9 vs. 9 instead of 7 vs. 7 as in other AYSO regions because of limited field space. We were unable to have Soccerfest this year which is normally held at the fields of Brethren Christian High School. My twin girls also attend Huntington Christian School at the site of the old Robert Burke School. We love Huntington Christian School and we the parents, grandparents, and friends in the community have spent a lot of money upgrading the school facilities. We have full enrollment with more families wanting to attend the school. We have students from other cities such as Irvine and Westminster coming to HCS to receive the excellent education it provides. Many families had planned on their children attending this school for eight years. Please do not sell the school site and think of the future of the children in our city.

943) Howard Dell - To the School Board: Stop taking the easy way out and look within their own operation for ways to cut costs. Some day you will need these schools and you won't have them. These sites provide a valuable resource to the community and should not be sold under any circumstances!

944) Albert Petrucci

945) Elsa Petrucci - 8476 Mariners Cove -92646 My daughter was in the last graduating class from Kettler; they spent money on improvements, only to close the school the following summer. This school is located right at Edison Park, it's direct access should make it the property of the city, which makes it the property of the residence's. All vacant school locations are located next to or near a park and should automatically be converted to Parks & Recreation area for our city, not sold off to developers to congest and pollute our city.

946) Michele Erwin - 21891 Kiowa Lane Huntington Beach, CA 92646

947) Steven D. Anderson - 21162 Breton Ln. 92646 714-381-3524 It is way too early to simply give up and sell this land. Instead of more new homes, we need school administrators and Board members with some imagination. Kettler has been a good neighbor to us for 33 years, including the playing fields. Search and search in order to find ways to keep title to this land. It looks like the school board needs changing, not the school sites.

948) Fran D. Anderson - Evidence of the mismanagement of the school district is spending about $5 million on each school, even after the board planned to sell them. But what the heck? It is only taxpayer money. Plenty more, as far as the Board is concerned. Replace the Board. Do not replace the schools with homes.

949) Cyndee Ely

950) Don Hall - PTA Member - Get an initiative on the ballot to require a vote of the residents before any sale of Public Property in the City (e.g. School District, City, etc. properties

955) Marlee Morgan - More new houses are NOT NEEDED. VALUABLE SCHOOLS ARE. CHILDREN ARE THE MOST PRICELESS GIFT HUMAN BEINGS HAVE. 1027) Ron Sage

1028) Natalie Wagers - I think that the Memorial for Danny Oates showed what a strong, committed and supportive group the Huntington Beach sports families are. The use of these schools for athletics, here in HB, is irreplaceable.

1029) Meredith Tsunehara - In the past five years five new people have moved onto our street. Four of the new families have young children. I would like to see what little space we have left in Huntington Beach preserved for the future children.

1030) Nancy Leaning - it was bad enough closing the boys and girls club on Magnolia to make room for homes not to mention how much traffic the Home Depot will bring on Magnolia. If HB is the 4th most expensive community in the nation in which to live, then how do these developers think they're going to sell the homes they want to put up?

1031) Elmer F. Smith - Thirty year resident.

1032) Robert Shaw

1033) Mary Shaw

1034) Chris Sommer - "Open" land for our children and community to use is at a premium; there is not enough as it is. Loss of these sites will only make the problem worse and will not be correctable. Our children; our families and our community need this space.

1035) Hilery Copeland - What a tragedy to think the residents of our wonderful community are represented by those who can even imagine selling precious land to developers rather than use the sites for what they are meant to be used for: us, the community, the people who live in Huntington Beach. As the mother of a one year old, I hope our community resources will be preserved rather than 'sold off' to make money. The school sites are more valuable to our community in the long run. Moreover, the parks are used often by members of our neighborhood. Please do not sell these sites to developers but preserve them for school and community resources. Once they are gone, it is too late.

1036) JUSTINE SHAFFER

1037) Ron Hanks

1038) Laura Hanks

1039) Steve Copeland - If our schools are sold off to developers to continue building homes, where will the children of those new homes attend school? Kettler is a perfect example of a school that was closed with a new development of a couple hundred homes being built at this time at the end of Hamilton and Newland. These children will undoubtedly be attending the same schools that the existing homes in the area children attend, who now have to attend a school farther away due to past school closures.

1040) Danielle Legere

1041) Shannon Whitehead - 20771 Glencirn Lane, HB: - The two leased school sites are welcome additions to our community. I do not want the two school sites sold for any other reason than as they are currently used. I want no more development in the middle of the two affected neighborhoods (my neighborhood is one of them

1042) Lynne Baker - Please do not consider selling these properties. They can never be recovered, and if they are developed there will be a need for new schools for which we will then have no room.

1043) Cindy Edgerton

1044) Ralph Tuckfield, - We have resided in HB over 35 years and consider it to be a very desirable city in which to live. Thirty three years ago we were fortunate to buy a home near the Gisler school site and have enjoyed the benefits of a beautiful neighborhood. Our 4 children attended Gisler. When the school was closed we participated in transporting our grandchildren to other schools while the Gisler site slowly deteriated with neglect. Finally the HB City School Dist approved leasing the facility to the Brethren Christian School and in one fell swoop, cleaned up an eyesore, picked up some revenue, provided a sports area for all city kids, kept a valuable city asset for future generations and provided the area with a wonderful facility and neighbor. The trustees made an excellent compromise. I have never seen or heard how many dollars the city may gain/lose (by selling the property

1045) Julia Tuckfield

1046) Mary Roell

1047) Brian Justice

1048) Julie Burnett - I taught in Fountain Valley. I know how destructive it is to sell school sites to developers. At some point, California will appropriately fund education and we will need all of our classrooms for class size reduction at all levels.

1049) Harold Burnett - Kids need room to run, play and p.e. teachers need adequate open space to meet the needs of their students. Kids trust adults to take care of them, yet we shove them into portable classrooms and add portables to sites that are already too small. We need to open up school sites.

1050) Lawson Mollica

1051) Matt Fleming - The school district would be selling off the last of the open space in south Huntington. This would be a disaster for H.B. In the long run making the area around their own schools a less attractive place, and taking young family's away from their schools.

1052) Jennifer Bryant

1053) Gretel A. Hines - The sites are an alternative to other schools, and the open space for the various sports activities. It is a steady scource of income. The sales money is an instant windfall and then what? Has the board specified what the money will be used for?

1067) Dan Shepard

1068) Gay Shepard

1069) Lisa Holevas - Huntington Beach is one of the best cities to live in. Why are you so determined to change this city for the worse? My sons currently go to Huntington Christian School and Brethren Christian School and they are a light to the community of Huntington Beach. The resources of using the fields on these properties are so beneficial to our kids. Please don't take resources away from the Children of Huntington Beach and create an environment like Los Angeles where there are no open spaces for our children.

1070) Mitchell Holevas - HCS an Brethren are great schools. I attend HCS this year as an 8th grader and plan on attending Brethren next year. Please don't take these schools away from us.

1071) Matthew Holevas - I plan on attending HCS next year and Brethren Christian for high school like my brothers. Please don't take this opportunity away from me.

1072) Nick Holevas

1073) Paula Spenker - Shouldn't the school district hold onto this valuable property and lease it? Instead of building a new Senior Center can't we use one of these properties and remodel it?

1074) Steve Spenker

1075) Lynne Jenkins - Our school is very important to the community and to us. Please let us stay. I have been at the school for 27 years and have seen many lives change because of it.

1076) Earl Price Grandy - I live near the Burke property and two of my older children went to Burke as a public school. The current tenant of the Burke property has done a wonderful job, much better than the city school board, in keeping the property up. I would like my two grandchildren to be able to go to this school. Please do not change this arrangement and simply create more housing. These central based schools are one of the major reasons we moved to Huntington Beach !!! - 9591 Caithness Drive Huntington Beach CA

1077) Carolyn M. Grandy - This type of school located in the center of a tract is a tremendous way of making our children safe. My youngest child went to Burke after we moved to CA from the Midwest and we were delighted with this system. The present school tenant have updated the property so beautifully and deserve to stay. Please don't change this current wonderful arrangement to simply more housing

1078) ALISON PETERS - when I was younger I played for the south Huntington Beach girls softball league and when I am older, I would like my kids to be able to do the same.

1079) Nicci White - selling community grounds that children of our community use says alot about how much our community doesnt care about its residents, but rather how much money they can rake in from the sales.

1089) Miguel Abramowicz - Let's not be short sighted and make million dollar mistakes! We will have a need for these schools in the future and won't be able to replace them because the cost of replacing them will be prohibitive and there won't be any land available anywhere in the community to build new ones. We are currently building new homes South of Hamilton and on PCH. Let's not make rush decisions that will impact future residents. I've lived in HB since 1978 and raised my three children here and now my 2 grandchildren! Thanks for considering my opinion, remember we elected you to represent US and our views and interests!

1090) Aaron Max Abramowicz - I was born here, went to school here and plan to raise my children here. Our schhols are scared. Please vote against this insane proposal and keep our school properties. Thanks

1091) Marcela Alban - I did all my schooling in HB and I'm presently sending my son to HB schools. Please insure that our schools are around for when he has to raise his children. Thanks

1092) Jon K. Alban

1093) Malena C. Copeland

1094) James A. Garrison

1095) Louise Garrison

1096) Donnell Lewis - I vote to have the current schools remain on the property and no developers to take over any more land. Our children have the right to private education if that is their choice. Please do not sell the school sites to developers.

1097) Donald J. Lewis - 9532 Caithness Dr. HB 92646. Do not sell the present cites used by the private schools. They have upgraded the property and it is better than before which increased the value of my property in the track.

1098) Rebecca McKee

1099) Jennifer Crummett-Smith

1100) Shelley Buker - These sites are vital to our community. Please keep them so we can enjoy wonderful schools, and a safe place for our kids to enjoy academics, sports, scouting, and so much more.

1101) Jolene Steele - This is your opportunity to do the RIGHT thing for the HB children you represent. Have your legacy be that you protected the parks and schools for the betterment of the entire CIty. Use your power wisely.. Trust the judgment of the committee recommendation to not sell. I've been a resident of HB since 1974 and teach for the HBUHSD. Thank you.

1102) Honie Abramowicz

1103) Beth Davis - My child attends HCS which is located on the Burke site. HCS has done incredible work over the years to improve not only the interior classrooms, but the exterior grounds. It is truly a remarkable school. Huntington Beach doesn't need more homes being built by developers, but it needs places for our children to grow through education and sports. I ask you to look at all the homes available in Huntington Beach currently. Do we really need more? I don't think so. I beg the Huntington Beach City School Board to please reconsider keeping these sites for the Children and not selling them to the developers. Our CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE not more homes!! Thank you for reconsidering.

1104) Anne Balian

1105) Shelly Harris - With children at both HCS and Brethren, I have a vested interest in these sites remaining in their current states. I selected these schools because of their stellar reputations. Both are known for high academic standards as well as the values taught to the children. While these schools are a benefit to my family and to hundreds of others, having these schools remain where they are is also a win-win situation for the school district and the community. The school district benefits by having responsible renters maintaining their sites and by providing the district with an income at a time when land values are stagnant and/or declining. HCS and Brethren benefit by having an opportunity to lease nice campuses in the middle of lovely neighborhoods. The neighborhoods benefit because these sites are being well-maintained by the renters, thus creating beautiful open space for the neighbors to enjoy, as well as preserving these sites for the future when the neighborhood once again has the student population to fill these local campuses. And, the community at large benefits by having excellent sports facilities for the youth of HB as well as meeting locations for local scouting groups. At a time when other developers in Orange County are backing out of their planned housing developments, and when available homes are sitting on the market for months, why would the school district want to take this kind of a chance?

1106) Kristina Savage

1107) Steve Savage

1108) Heidi Wassef - Please do not sell the 4 school sites. Continue to lease.

1109) Lisa Schaffer

1110) Jim Schaffer

1111) Sheryl Glover

1112) Glenda Choa - We value a great education at Huntinton Christian school. Please do not sell the land. Think of our children!

1113) Nelson Choa

1114) Kaylee Choa - Please do not sell the land Huntington Christian school is on.

1115) Laura C. Kelly - Please do not sell this land out from under these terrific schools. Having these classy high quality schools in town seems far better for Huntington Beach than just a few more expensive homes. Already the cost of a home in H.B. is so high that it prohibits families with children from buying here. Does Huntington Beach have something against children? We recently moved to H.B. and are looking for a modest home to buy here because our son(s

1116) Dorothy Flood

1117) Valerie Bingham - We have a child in Huntington Christian School. We do not want to see the City sell off more schools to make room for more homes. What a blessing to this City to have such a wonderful school nestled in this neighborhood. To continue to sell off "vacant" schools will cause problems for future families, you can never get this land back. Please rethink your efforts to sell off these school parcels, it is important that we retain these for the future of our community.

1118) Cliff Bingham

1119) Shelley Kottman

1120) Dan Kottman

1121) Howard Knott - Save these sites for public use.

1122) Mary Knott - We want these sites for our children and grandchildren.

1123) Richard Webb

1124) Steve Warren - Our family supports retaining Brethren Christian and Huntington Christian as they are presently, and in the future, serving the community in its best interest.

1125) Kathy Warren

1126) Don Howarth

1127) Elizabeth Adams - Registered voter that does not want to see these properties sold to developers.

1128) Mitchel Bray

1129) Kristina Bray

1130) James D. Kelly - Please do not sell the land that these schools are on. This is a win/win situation as it is now.

1131) Mary Cox

1132) Maria Howarth

1133) Janice A. Mueller

1134) John Moses

1135) Allison Purcell

1136) Karen Dorman

1137) Dr. Thomas C. Harris - It does not make good sense to give up established school sites for more homes.

1138) Mrs.Thomas C. Harris - Huntington Beach must not give up school land or resources for more private homes etc.

1139) Ken Otsubo - As the late Milton Friedman said "governments never learn". In 5,10 or 15 years when house prices adjust and more young families move into HB then we will pass a bond or Tax to build additional schools, can you imagine how much that will cost much less finding the land to build on. Meanwhile the board members will be long gone and only the homeowners that still live here will suffer.

1140) Joe Collins

1141) Maggie Collins

1142) Randy Rettenberger - Brethren Christian School must stay.

1143) Nancy Horrocks - I remember when Ronald Reagan dedicated Burke school now used by Huntington Christian School. Do not sell these sites!!!

1144) Patsy Ruth Harris

1145) Stephen Knutsen

1146) Michael Kissel - Huntington Beach is becoming overdeveloped. We have enough property being developed which is already putting a strain on the community. Demand for housing is not the problem of the School Disrict. The District has a responsibility to maintain the quality and integrity of the community.

1147) Suzanne Lee - As a resident of Huntington Beach with a young child it is very important to me that you preserve school sites for future generations. It does not make sense to sell land to developers at the cost of our children's education. For the sake of the next generation of school children, please give them the opportunity to attend a school that is not over crowded by preserving the schools in our community.

1148) Craig Kennedy

1149) Astrid J Hoskinson - I have lived in this city nearly all of life & the traffic is making it untenable. We don't need any more development, this is the tipping point.

1150) Lisa Doherty

1151) Greg Doherty

1152) Bryan Visnoski - *** These properties should not be sold and should remain available for the children of Huntington Beach. ***

1153) Ryan Rintoul - At some point, the state of our community has to take precedence over profit. This needs to stop.

1154) Trisha Rintoul

1155) Paul Trani - Over a thousand has signed this petition. You must listen to the people, for it is the people that make up this great city.

1156) Cathy Knutsen

1157) Grace Trani

1158) Ann Baker - realtor for 15 years in South Huntington Beach. We have 2 excellent, quality schools here, HCS and Brethren Christian. I have NEVER heard one complaint about courtesy these schools emphasize to the community and the neighborhoods they are in. They are an asset to the area for those who seek a quality, value centered alternative to the public school system. In addition, many buyers I've worked with want these areas just so their kids can attend one of these 2 schools! They are a valuable asset to South Huntington Beach. We do not need more homes, especially when there are so many on the market already. From a realtor perspective (which is why I'm writing

1159) Sam Knutsen

1161) Dr. Scott Swanson - Please save our schools as they are a valuable asset to everyone in HB!

I am appalled that the school district is always trying to find more ways to make money yet they are all still making money off of the taxpayers. Its a sad day when we have more houses in our tracts (that most people cant afford

1184) A. Per Hammer

1186) Deanna Vale - Bellflower Unified district faced the same issue with temporary declining enrollment and sold a school to a home developer and regretted it later when enrollment skyrocketed. Los Alamitos School District leased their closed school and needed it years later and reopened it. Peterson was leased and reopened. Why would the HBCSD think that they will NEVER need to reopen any of these schools? Instead of investigating selling them, they should be investigating also leasing out Kettler to raise money.

1187) Carol Burtis - Please keep these sites for the schools and other children that use them. We do not need any more homes or anything else at these locations.

1188) Charles Capalbo - HB Resident for 23 years. We do not need more houses. Choose our children instead!

1222) Richard Kirkreit - Dear Board Members, One asset that is not replaceable is open space. These school sites being considered for sale are currently used by numerous groups, young and old, on a daily basis. Between Brethren Christian and Huntington Christian Schools there are nearly 1000 children and hundreds of professionals that would be affected by the sale of just two of the properties. Beyond the impact of BC and HCS being closed, AYSO has over 1600 registered players who will also be affected by the loss of this field space. It is possible, that if one or more of the schools are sold AYSO would be forced to limit the children allowed to register in the league by up to 50%. Seaview Little League and South Huntington Beach Girl's Fastpitch Softball have another 1000 children who could be affected by the sale of these sites. We are literally talking about 4000+ children and adults being negatively affected by the sale of these properties. The legacy you will be leaving behind will be one of short-sightedness and community damage. Take a moment to realize the damage you are doing to the community that elected you.

1223) Raymond Loehner

1224) Scott Pokorny - Save our HCS School and look what happened at Lamb School.

1225) Cynthia Gartland - Our public schools are already overcrowded. Where are we going to put the 800+ displaced students when we take the private schools away? there are for sale signs all over HB, do we really need more homes? where will those kids go to school?

1226) Patty Brandenburger

1227) Larry Hopkins

1229) Kimberly Miller

1230) Joseph Nickerson - Our community needs schools and playgrounds for kids. Please don't take more away.

1231) Kristin Nickerson

1232) Lisa Barrett - Live in the Kettler neighborhood and have 2 kids at Brethren Christian. Please do not sell the schools!

1233) Lavee Steblay - We don't need more houses. More houses brings more people! More people means even more children in the schools! Our classrooms are already over cramped! Please leave our parks, schools and ball fields alone!!!

1234) Chris Hajek

1235) Jason Shelton

1236) christina bray - investing in our children and their future education is far better than any home investments the city wishes to make

1237) andrew bray

1238) Richard Holevas

1239) Terri Blumer - It would be in the best interest of everyone to keep both Huntington Christian School and Brethren Christian High School open for the long term. Both of these schools are very good and needed in the community.

1247) Mary Gomes - My family and I moved to H.B. from Lake Arrowhead Ca. for the sole purpose of my daughter attending Brethren Christian. That school is an invaluable asset to this community. It would be a shame to lose such a positive part of the H.B. private school community.

1248) Bert Shepley - As a counselor of at-risk youth, a soccer coach, and father of 2: I cannot stress enough the importance of playing fields for our kids. The benefits of the opportunities for joining teams and participating in positive group activities is so important for our youth.

1249) John R. Cardullo

1250) Jeffrey Washiashi

1251) Susan Washiashi

1252) Dorothy J. Cardullo - We can not get back the green spaces one they are built on. Our kids deserve a place to play and there is little room for that now. selling school means removing green spaces from the kids. Not fair.

1253) David Rice - Downtown HB Resident 14 years.

1254) James Shepard - and family. We are very strongly opposed to the sale of the Burke and Gisler schools. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach and both my sister and I attended Burke and Gisler public schools. My family home is in the Burke neighborhood, we are the original owners and my family has lived in that home for over 37 years. We have invested a lifetime into that neighborhood and the sale of Burke (along with any resulting development

1255) Karen Askenaze - I attended LeBard and Burke. My kids play there all the time. The school board exists to serve children of HB, not to make money. Find some other way to make money, please!

1273) Stewart MacKenzie - 92649

1274) Laurie Capalbo

1276) Kathy Ruffino - I grew up in HB and have had the sad experience of watching our elected officials raze our history to the ground all in the name of progress, budgets and whatever other excuse they spew to the community at large. The schools and parks we used to go to as kids no longer exist. We squeeze 45 kids into classrooms built for 25 with a teacher who is stretched to his/her limit and wonder why they can't learn. We complain about kids sitting around on their computers or watching too much television, yet we take away all the open space where they could possibly ride their skateboards, play sports or just hang out like we did as kids. My son attended HCS; in fact, he was there when the school moved into the Burke site. When HCS moved to that site the parents of the then student body and some very generous community members rehabbed the building and the grounds. The same was done when Brethren moved in at the old Gisler site. Both schools pay for the privilege of being in these sites. AYSO also pays dearly for the use of field. Even if the board ignores the educational needs of our children doesn't it make more sense to have an ongoing income rather than a one time influx of funds that will surely be misappropriated and leave the board once again clamoring for more school sites to sell off in order to balance their budget. Maybe these two schools can help the board in their budgeting (after all, they don't receive any funding other than tuition and they make it work

1277) Joe Ruffino

1283) Mark Grundman

1284) Jane Grundman

1285) Karen Moynihan

1286) Joseph Foye - It's all about cycles. Seniors have been cashing out on their homes they bought in the 70's and 80's with young families moving in. We will need these schools in the near future. Leasing them out makes perfect sense until they are needed for public use. Selling to developers is very short sighted. Wake up and look beyond your nose.

1287) Niall Moynihan

1288) Eileen Brandenburger

1289) Tom Mays

1290) Christine Mays

1291) Carrie Menendez - My husband and I have 4 boys, the oldest of whom started at HCS this year and loves it - we hope to be able to send all of our sons through HCS and Brethren. If the city sells these schools, we will have to look elsewhere. We made the decision to send our kids to a Christian school and chose HCS for their values, environment and reputation - what kind of school board would want to lose that kind of tenant and guaranteed income?

1292) Mary Mulloy

1293) Rob Lyter

1294) Daniel T. Fenley - In favor of the continued revenue stream and the positive effect that these campuses provide within their neighborhoods.

1295) Brad Herold

1296) Kathy Herold

1297) John Herold - I want to go to HCS next year. Please don't close it!

1298) Ray Herold - I want to go to school with my brother. I won't be able to if you close it.

1299) A. Gary Anderson M.D.

1300) Bonnie Anderson

1301) Alice Cross - I agree with Marinka Horack's letter to the Wave on Sept 13 in which she says the sale would be a short term gain and a long term loss. These sites are valuable assets & should be preserved.

1302) FRED CROSS

1303) Michael Mills

1304) Amanda Mills - Save the schools. Education is more important than more homes. Huntington does not need more homes!!!!!

1311) Raquel Martinez - Do not want the HBCSD to sell school to sites to developers. Thank you

1312) David Pincek

1313) Jolene Steele - I was disappointed to hear the results of your vote at last night's Board meeting. What would cause some elected officials, who are entrusted to represent the welfare of the community, to vote in such a self-serving manner? Where are your supporters who want to sell this property? Where are the citizens who want this? Who will suffer from your unwavering decision? Please think about what is ultimately BEST for all of Huntington Beach children and adults. With POWER comes RESPONSIBILITY... please do the responsible thing. Thank you, Jolene Steele

1315) Shelley Bomalick

1316) john trommald - HB Resident, save our school resources!

1317) Naomi Chason

1318) Dave Moses

1319) Vanessa Cutwright - SAVE HB CHRISTIAN SCHOOL!!

1320) Robert F. Cronk - Closed School Sites should never be sold. We don't need more density; we need recreation areas. You will never be able to replace the land.

1321) amber kelley lausch

1322) Jamie Huante - Resident in the HCS tract, AND parent of a student at HCS. What else are we going to take away from our kids? They will be the ones taking care of our community when the day comes. We need to keep the schools and parks. How about enrichment programs on the empty school sites. Do we REALLY need more homes???

1323) Linda Coxson - Huntington Christian and Brethren Christian Schools have a positive impact on the community! The overwhelming majority of neighbors are grateful to have the beautiful HCS campus be part of the neighborhood; HCS has worked hard to keep traffic flowing smoothly and under control, and many community teams use the fields of both schools for practices. Let's keep our kids playing in a safe environment and keep our neighborhoods as neighborhoods, not overpopulated developments!! Life isn't just about making more money!!!

1324) Quan D. Bui - Hunting Beach does not need more houses. It needs parks and open space for our children to play. Also, more houses will lead to more traffic and reduced in quality of life. I want my city to remain small. Let Irvine deal with the traffic congestions.

1325) Allison LeMoine-Bui

1326) Lisa Turk

1327) Mike Fountain - Franciscan Fountain Estates Once again, the city or in this case, the school board, is looking to make a quick dollar. But at what cost? Add more housing means more families, more children, but less schools, less educational diversity, and less open space. We currently have two private schools providing educational diversity and a service to the community, open space and a better place to live offering residents in this area a great place to live. Leave it to our current school board to look at short term solutions to long term problems. Add more families and density, but take away schools and open space will only result in a less desirable place to live. Where will the children go to school if these school sites are developed. They will have to go farther and impact schools serving other areas of our community. Lets start making decisions based on the needs and desires of the community, not based on a few individuals.

1328) Laura E Roth

1329) Gary Roth

1330) Sharon Webb - I do not want these properties sold for financial gain that can not be used for our schools. Plus we attend HC School, and we have worked hard to establish ourselves with the community and establish a great school and beautiful grounds for the neighbors on a site that was LEFT Vacant until we came and did all the improvements.......ONLY now to be forced out. Right now our public schools benefit with our PRIVATE funds plus our taxes we pay....so there is double benefit with the schools being used by private schools. PLEASE DO NOT SELL OUR PROPERTIES FOR GREED......CONSIDER OUR CHILDREN

1353) Kathy Bartlett - Please consider the down real estate market before putting this property up for sale. Also, why sell these 2 properties that have good income from long term, stable tenants when there are 2 other parcels that are essentially vacant? Why not sell Kettler parcel and rebuild at the LeBard location?

1354) Betty Wickersham - Do not sell school properties to developers who will add more houses. We need open spaces in our community.

1355) Josephine Jellick

1356) Michelle Simmons - The proposal to sell off land is such a short-sighted action that the results can only be in the NEAR FUTURE -- NO MONEY AND NO LAND!!! Don't do it...we will only regret it.

1358) Josette Mollica

1359) Chandler Marcus

1363) Phyllis Rhyan

1364) Kelly Follico - I have two daughter enrolled at Huntington Christian school. I am completely against them selling the sites.

1365) Florence Kelly - Keep all of our school property - it belongs to the children of today and tomorrow.

1366) Kevin Greene - 21172 Banff Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92646 It is appalling at the rate at which we are losing schools and recreation areas for children to play sports or other recreational activities. We do not need any more development in this area. What we need is to leave some green areas for people and children to develop social skills through group sports and activities, not to mention learning facilities for education. Once this land is sold, it cannot be retrieved. Please take the time to think of the impact this will have on the community, and to not just think of the cities pocket book. Please, DO NOT SELL THIS LAND. Thank you.

1367) Rebeca Indyk - Please, stop selling People's assets

1368) Michael Indyk

1369) Christine Hall - if you sell these schools, they will be sold to developers who will build housing. New housing will bring kids, and where then will these kids go to school? The already overcrowded middle school and high schools can squeeze them in, but not all the HBCSD elementary schools where these houses would be built.

1370) Cindy Wick - I do not want these school sites sold. I believe the sale is very short sighted, and does not keep these sites available for our future generations, who will some day need them. Keep the current lease holders in place who serve the community and preserve these assets.

1371) Joo Sohn - It is disgusting what the board is trying to do despite the voice of the people. We need to preserve the school and the area around it for the children.

1372) Tom DeView - Please listen to the people and preserve the school.

1373) JoAnn Tognoni - For a change let's think of the children in our community first and the almighty $$$$$ next to last.

1383) Veronica Martinez

1384) Geena Martinez

1385) Gary Treskes

1386) Michele Treskes

1387) Liza Tingle

1388) Suzie Cody

1389) Doris Giraldo - We don't need anymore housing developing in HB, lets save it from over population

1390) Jenny Ramirez - I don't want the city to sell to developers.

1391) Gabe Figueroa - We need more OPEN SPACE in HB! If the school building themselves are not needed then tear them down and increase open space. Parks, soccer/baseball/basketball fields, nature parks, dog parks, more trees, ETC!!! Any of the above mentioned & not more HOUSES/ "develpment". Leave a positive mark while you have positions on the HBCSD. Do the right thing for future residents of HB.

1392) Kevin P. Anderson - Anyone with kids living in HB understands how lucky we all are to have these recreation areas. Please do not sell them to developers for profits none of us will ever see.

1393) Dolores C. Young - DO NOT DEVELOP HOMES ... KEEP THE SCHOOLS!!

1394) Barbara Roberts-Hartman

1395) Barbara Shepard - Hopefully the board members will reconsider their irrational decision and work with us to save these valuable school sites. Educating our children at quality, safe and convenient schools far outweighs the prospect of more homes or venues. When thousands say 'no' to selling off the school sites and only three say 'yes' then we really have to go with conventional wisdom.

1396) Fred M. Hartman

1397) Summer Taylor

1398) Morgan Vannen

1399) Chris Vannen

1400) Casey Hoover

1401) Ronald Neal - Please Don't close the school....

1402) Ginny Johnson - I support the efforts of the organization Save Huntington Beach's Community, I want the School Board to stop the RFP process, and will write to the school board. Thank you. Keep up the good work!

1403) David Hayes

1404) Magaly Hayes

1405) Mark Melanson - We do not need to further develop this city. There is already enough traffic and congestion. Let's make them open parks if nothing else.

1406) Robert Kluck

1407) Robert Dumitrescu

1408) misty hernandez

1409) Lois Merritt - PLEASE SAVE OUR SCHOOL!

1410) Marcus Ginnaty - As someone who grew up playing AYSO soccer on those fields, I hope some compromise can be found. Some of my fondest childhood memories happened on the fields at Gisler. It would be a shame to see them developed. Good luck with the effort.

1411) Carolyn Bray - Please be good stewards with your power and leave the School Districts to teaching our children. The schools need to be preserved.

1412) Tracy Goldman - These schools contribute greatly to the city of HB, and provide sports fields as well.

1413) Laura Ehrlich - PLEASE! We need these areas for schools, parks and open areas for our children to play in!

1414) Matt Ehrlich

1415) Michelle Hanscom - Think about the population influx. Newport Mesa had to reopen a closed school site several years ago because of overcrowding. What would happen if there was no open space to build a school and what about the cost of land especially so close to the coast. No one can predict the future, but we can foresee that Huntington Beach will always be a popular place to live. Therefore there will always be children needing a place to learn. When elections come around I will be sure to vote the uneducated school board members that are making bad choices off.

1416) Hugh Dunkerley - We need the recreational areas for our children - it creates community and makes Huntington Beach a place where people want to live.

1417) Helena Dunkerley

1418) Leslie Caswell - Isn't it possible to bar these plans to develop this open space based on lack of available water to support a growing population?

1419) Linda Israel - What happens to our youth sports programs if we keep selling these school properties. We have to look ahead not just at the present.

1420) Larry Israel

1421) Gordon Hanscom - This sale Can Not be permitted to happen.

1422) Eric Bryant - We need our schools, not new homes. They are being put to good use, and netting almost a million dollars in rental income for the district.

1423) Heather Trommald - I feel the school board's decision to continue this process after they became aware of the fact that any funds raised from the sale of these properties could not be used for teachers or classroom needs, is irresponsible. No one has shown up, at a single school board meeting, supporting this scheme.

1424) Glen Green

1425) Karen Jenkins-Green

1426) Vicky G. Derieg - These properties are valuable as school sites (currently leased to private schools that do a wonderful job of teaching our kids

1427) Daniel Derieg - We need to keep these school sites. Two of them are providing ongoing revenue to the school district via leases (both private schools would be more than happy to sign LONG term leases - to assure the district of income and themselves of a place to continue to teach. The open space (playground - grass area

1428) Kimberly Economos - We have young children and use that parks daily. We are also in support of Huntington Christian School staying on current Burke property.

1429) Jim Economos - My family and I strongly support the cause to save our parks from developers.

1430) Rich Dilts

1431) Victoria Cernok

1432) John Cernok - Why the sudden need to sell the propertie? Where are the alternative spaces for youth sport programs? Why is the public's inquiries & interests being ignored? When do the Board members come up for election?

1433) Victoria Cernok

1434) Robert Risher

1435) Brad Harrison - We have to stop them. I have yet to hear a valid reason to sell. I say they want to close down the private schools to make it less hospitable for parents that choose that option.

1436) Tony Coppolino

1437) Mindy Coppolino

1438) Buddy Barr - HB is desperately short on parks/playing fields/open space. These 4 school sites that HB City School District Board Members want to sell is completely wrong. These sites belong to the community as a resource to used for the 'whole community'. Board Members....be very careful here...we will vote you out if you decide to sell these public lands to developers.

1439) Carl Rossi - People are already leaving the area because it is too crowded. We don't need new housing or developments to further tax our resources. I am against the sale of these school properties. I want Brethren Christian to stay on as our neighbor. They are a great asset to my neighborhood and I do not want any more houses, traffic or noise here.

1455) Tamara Kelly

1456) Corey Kelly

1457) Gloria Rillera

1458) Mitra Ostowari - It is obvious that H.B. School Board does not care about the future of our children. I am not sure who voted for them, for that if I did, I am ashamed of myself and they will not get my vote this time.

1459) Susan Haroutunian

1460) Allyson Dickinson

1461) Kristine Koch - I support the initiative to preserve the school sites for community resources.

1473) Lisa Ferretti - Keep our schools and fields.

1474) Lambria B. Soos

1475) Gregory B. Soos

1476) Mark Bogart - "I do not want the Huntington Beach City School District to sell school sites to developers. I want to have them preserved for school and community resources, both now and in the future."

1477) Edward E. Malone III - School sites should be considered sacred...they can never be replaced! Leasing (not to make a profit...but to insure that there is no loss

1478) Patricia Malone - Schools are sacred !!! Schools can never be replaced once sold...no one will sell their property for a school...it would have to be an imminent domain practice to retrieve the real estate...and that in itself is not popular.

1479) Zoe Seals

1480) Michelle King - If you take our school where will our 400 students go, in our already over crowded schools? Who is benefiting from these school sales? "NOT" 400 + children, "NOT" all of the Teachers & Staff out of jobs! "NOT" the surrounding neighborhoods, "NOT" Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and AYSO children that use our fields! WHO IS BENEFITING?? And what will this money be used for WE the Parents of our community that voted for you and pay your salary want to know.

1481) Charles King - Who's pocket's are getting fat from this sale? Someone on the school board's!

1482) Anne Hume

1483) Noelle Ward - Please do not sell these sites. My children and I love HCS and would miss the opportunities that this school provides.

1484) Chana Warnock

1485) Mark Goodfellow - AYSO spent > $200,000 to completely renovate the field at Gisler just a few years ago, including installation of lighting. This facility is used by many hundreds of kids every week. Where will they go?

1486) Cathy Escala

1487) Matthew Crooks

1488) Tricia Crayne

1489) Gracia Brown

1490) Kaelyn Jenkins

1491) Robert Dunn - Once these sites are gone, they will never be able to be reclaimed. Open space is a precious and diminishing resource in our community.

1492) Maureen Dunn

1493) Nita Randolph

1494) Cathy Counihan

1495) Peter Counihan

1496) Jacqueline Cutajar

1497) harriet miller

1498) William T. Schoenlau - The school district's short sighted goals of selling it's owned real estate will cost the community millions of dollars by taking away assets that will be needed in future community growth.

1499) claudia lysengen

1500) David Lysengen

1501) Kerry Crooks - Please keep these schools open and renew their leases. Good neighbors are hard to come by.

1502) Marie Naber

1503) Clayton Naber

1504) Dawn Elkin - Please do not sell our schools - HCS is our school for our daughters and we could not have been happier with this wonderful school and staff. We need these schools for our kids and their futures - selling them to developers would be a HUGE mistake.

1521) Ellen Postiff

1522) Joan Rakhshani

1523) Jill Sweeney

1524) Jon Koskoff

1525) Alana Scott - selling these sites is poor planning for our children's future.

1526) Wyatt Scott

1527) Kathleen Ellis - Please save these schools for our children--sports and community activities--I am a grandparent and know how important sports fields are for our children now and in the future.

1528) Rachel Somoano

1529) Kristen Pass

1530) Gale Glendon

1531) Tom Peterson

1532) Kent E. Hayden - Meredith Gardens Homeowners Association Board Member and Seaview Little League Treasurer

1533) Susan Adams

1534) David Hatch - We have too many developers already.

1535) Candace Brenner - Selling school property is short sighted and it is a huge mistake. We cannot anticipate the needs of the city in 40 years, but we can anticipate that the amount of land necessary for a school sight in the future will be unavailable and expensive. Keep the land. Lease it to generate ongoing revenue for the school district.

1536) Michael Lucero

1537) Jennifer Adnams

1538) Kellie Schumacher

1539) Charlie Brac

1540) Kevin Smith

1541) Jerry Cosgrove

1543) Lora Wood

1544) Stan Wood

1545) Scott Mahaffy - These properties were donated to be used for the public use, the school district does not have the right to take these resources out of public use by short sited monetary gain. RECALL THIS BOARD NOW!!!!

1546) Matt Kelso - Let's do what's right for the future of the city and keep greed out of the picture. The people of Huntington Beach will not benefit from the sale of these schools.

1547) Jennifer Wilcox

1548) Laura Curtin

1549) Fred Barla

1550) Peggy Barla

1551) Andrea Giacone

1552) Debra Elliott - Our kids need MORE green space, not LESS!!!!

1553) Janine Sanchez

1554) Dwayne Morrison

1555) Gantry Wilson - Please keep the school sites as is.

1556) Bryan Powell - To demolish a school would be a tragedy. There is more than enough living spaces in Southern Ca and plenty of shopping centers we DO NOT need any more!

1557) David Keiser

1558) Uri Azgour

1559) Daun Newman

1560) Bill Newman

1561) Terri Marsh

1562) Eric Papacosta - Don't sell school property

1563) Stacey Colburn

1564) Paul Colburn

1565) Leslie Guerra

1566) Chris Jepsen

1567) Kerry Chao

1568) Stephanie Bobak - Let's stop developing homes and concentrate on protecting the environment. All our natural resources are being depleted and the ocean is started to throw back what we deposit from all the construction.

1569) Mike Williams

1570) Sydni Estrella

1571) Marcela McLaren

1572) Doris Mattingly - Very disappointed that the board is considering these 2 sites - HB needs to preserve what little open space & parks it has, there are good schools leasing these properties

1573) Ruth Lecocq - Save our schools, HB is only getting bigger what if we need them. We certainly do not need more houses or shopping centers.

1574) Lisa Richards

1575) Keith Richards

1576) Judy Fitz-Roy

1577) Bob Fitz-Roy

1578) Lynda Richards

1579) Steph Dougal

1580) Terrance Richards

1581) Walter Hirsch

1582) John Barry

1583) Kathy Barry

1584) Talon Jensen - Once these sites are sold to developers it will be virtually impossible to replace them in the future. We do not need more homes and apartments what we need is more green space and multi-use community resources. This planned sale certainly is not in the long-term best interests of the School District and Community. I will not support any School District Officials who are in favor of this action which will leave a long-term negative legacy.

1585) Kirk Olson

1586) Cheri -Jan Olson

1587) Albert Watson

1588) Marlene Apodaca

1589) Danna Horner - Please do not sell the property! My daughter really loves her school.

1590) Ken Yabuki

1591) Irene Weaver - If these school sites are sold, it would change the community culture of HB - something I have always been proud of! The last buildings that should fall are educational options for students in this awesome city. It's hard to believe that this it is even being considered to sell these sites when the people of HB deserve much more!

1592) Lori Fukumoto - 'Save our schools!'

1593) Chris Vinciguerra

1594) Emma Tiebens - I absolutely agree and support this cause. Let's look at the long term and bigger vision and not the temporary short term gains!

1595) Gary Tiebens - I absolutely agree and support this cause. The long term impact this will have on the community far exceeds the short term gains...

1596) Jason Gradel

1597) Lorraine Peterson - Please save our school sites from developers!..We can never retrieve them!

1598) Kelsey Peterson

1599) Mr. Julian Vochelli - Please! Isn't it about time to preserve what remains after the developers and real estate people have had their way with us. Open space, trees, wildlife, fresh air, peace and quiet - these precious resources that bring us relief from the stresses of modern living - should not be sacrificed for short term financial gains!

1600) Mrs. Julian Vochelli

1601) Robert Thiede

1602) John Dvis

1603) Michon Davis

1604) Jimmie R. Wunch

1605) Martha Wunch

1606) Terri Weiss - I do not want the Huntington Beach City School District to sell school sites to developers. I want to have them preserved for school and community resources, both now and in the future. Selling these sites is poor planning for the future of our city and our children. I am a 45-year resident of Huntington Beach and would like to see it continue to have open space and resources for our residents.

1607) Joseph P. Valinsky

1608) Caemela Valinsky

1609) Daniel Sherman - We cannot loose our kids land. They need spaces to play sport and alternative schooling.

1610) Alison Clarke

1611) krista maloney

1612) Tammy Gelerter - My daughter already had to go through this once when Kettler closed and had to go to a new school and make new friends. I don't want my daughter to have to be uprooted again. Huntington Beach needs to stop playing games with our children's lives.

1613) Peter Bonacic

1614) Julie Brokaw

1615) Paul Johnson

1616) Maureen Johnson

1617) Marilyn La Bollita

1618) George La Bollita

1619) Keri Welch - These schools not only provide education for the ever-growing population of our town but provide a safe place for the children and adults of our community to hold sporting activities and a local place for our children to walk to or ride their bikes to that is within a close distance of their homes. We all grew up with these schools in our area, we all rode our bikes to or through Burke park, Gisler park, Kettler Elementary and LeBard Elementary when we were growing up to go to Girl Scouts, Little League and AYSO for practice and it would be devastating and uncalled for to remove these schools from our community. Please consider this.

1620) Arlene Bumb

1621) Eric Bumb

1622) Kimberly Klinge - I am so sick of the city of Huntington Beach doing this in the older area of Huntington. They spend all of their money, resources and time on the downtown area.

1623) Bethany Chang

1624) Bryan Chang

1625) Patrick Magee - I did not move to this neighborhood so the city can sell the school sites to developers. Multiple studies have PROVEN that the community is best served with them remaining as they are e.g.: community resources. Don't sell the schools.

1626) Steve Hodgman

1627) Helen Clark - Dear Huntington Beach School Board members: Part of what makes a community a quality place to live is space for community activities, especially youth activities. I've seen first hand how efficiently the site now leased by Brethren Christian High School has been used by an amazingly broad spectrum of the Huntington Beach community. From 2002 to 2006, when my son attended school there, almost no day or evening went by where there was not a school, AYSO, or other community event on the field. Children and teens have a great time playing sports, getting exercise, and engaging in healthy social activity. Drop by the site any time, day or evening, and you will see what I mean. The loss of this area, and other school sites in the district, would impact most severely the youth in the community. What will these kids be doing if the space to run is taken away? Orange County is becoming very cramped, and this is not healthy for our youth. The schools keep up the properties and pay generous lease fees. Both the school and the whole community benefit by keeping it this way. This is win-win for everyone! Please do not sell the properties to developers. Once sold, the space is gone forever. Sincerely, Helen Clark

1637) John Scheffler - If you sell the school site to developers you are not cutting down on traffic of population density. You are hurting many families and especially children.

1638) Cynthia Biddle

1639) Kevin Grant

1640) Kathryn Grant

1641) Melissa Myers

1642) Donnell M Lewis - I 100% oppose the sale of any of these 4 schools. We need to think of the children first and not developers. The last thing we need is more housing in Huntington Beach. The current occupants have considerably upgraded the properties for the Children. I thought the School Board members were out to protect the Children and not to sell out to developers. I am more than displeased at the 3 of you who voted to sell.

1643) Cindy Wilkins

1644) Debbie Uyeno

1645) Connie Morris - Huntington Beach should be proud to be associated with two great private schools, Brethren and HCS and possibly learn from them. It would be a shame to shut them out of Huntington Beach. We the citizens of H.B. deserve a choice!!

1668) Honeybee Carrizosa

1669) Bret Ferguson

1670) Tony Shaffer

1671) Irma M Shaffer

1672) Joshua Klinge - I am appalled that this is happening. Christian Schools, parks, areas for AYSO, Little League, all will be given up for money. Years of memories to come for so many SOLD by the decision of so few. Typical of politics these days. SERVING THE ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR.

1674) Heather Whitmore

1675) Pat Goodman

1676) Michael Scheffler

1677) Joan Malin

1678) Robert Malin

1679) adam saby - why are people trying to tear down the social institutions that cultivate and engender our social capital and community connectedness?

1680) Matthew Malin

1681) James Stratton - Please pass this on to the HBCSD Board, My name is James Stratton, and I'm a homeowner here in Huntington Beach. My wife, two kids, and I live at 10171 Birchwood Drive (Meredith Gardens

1682) Michael DeCarlo - The issue of school choice must be addressed. The HCS parents choose to send their children out of the HB public school system for a myriad of reasons even though we pay our taxes into the HB public system and pay additional tuition to HCS. This does not mean that the HB school district has no responsibility to the HCS kids, they do. The HB school district should respect the parents choice to educated their children outside of the public schools, not undermine their education or further profit by selling their school off to developers.

1683) Lorena DeCarlo

1684) Ross Smythe

1685) Philip Cook - I grew up in Meredith Gardens and went to LeBard Elementary from Kindergarten though 5th grade. It would be a shame to see that place torn down for some developer to build houses. Meredith Gardens does not need any more homes and neither does the other community on the other side of Lebard.

1686) Kandie Barriga - They should not have the right to do this and must be stopped.

1687) adriana steinle

1688) CYNTHIA JACOBS

1689) Larry Jagiello - I live in the area by LeBard with my family. We frequently enjoy taking our 3 little children to the park there to play. My son has also participated in Seaview Little League at LeBard. We have enough homes and not enough free space left in HB. Have the trustees ever considered the need for these facilities in the future? What happens when HB needs to expand its schools and there is no open space?? Please consider this my vote to save the schools in HB!

1690) Virginia Iles - PLEASE DO NOT SELL OUR SCHOOLS.

1691) Ken Iles

1692) Ethan Iles - I am a 3rd grader at HCS. Please don't sell mt school. I love my school!

1693) debbie broderick - the girls and boys need to fields! We need this for our kids

1694) Muller Walter

1695) Eric Weuve - Where do you expect our children to play organized sports if you tear up the fields they play on? These sites must stay as they are for the interest of our kids. I can promise that any board member voting for the sale of these sites will never again get my vote or the vote of my friends and family.

1696) Melanie Weuve

1697) Judith Rohrdanz

1698) Roger Rohrdanz

1699) Richard Reinbolt - As a Retired Professional Educator I am astounded that School Boards continue to be so short-sighted by selling off irreplaceable property that will be badly needed when the cyclic demographics change in H.B.

1700) Joe Wallace

1701) Brooks Wallace

1702) Melanie Bloom - "I do not want the Huntington Beach City School District to sell school sites to developers. I want to have them preserved for school and community resources, both now and in the future."

1704) jennifer dreesen - KEEP HUNTINGTON BEACH A SMALL COMMUNITY!

1705) donovan garber

1706) Mark A. Ball - I bought my home @ 20562 Lavonne Lane, approximately one year ago. A great part of why I bought this home, was because of Le Bard Field. I am extremely disappointed to find that now my choice was under potentially false conditions. I ask that the powers that be, reconsider.

1707) Jeff Kikawa

1708) Corey Guadagnolo - We have enough homes, retail sites and other developments within our city. We do not need to sell our school sites which are earning income from the rent of Gisler and Burke to private schools.

1716) Holly La Trobe

1717) Jennifer Buntich - Don't sell the properties that provide such a necessary resource for our children- after all isn't it all about the children? This community will never recover if these fields are taken away. Please don't do it!!

1718) PAT ALLEN

1719) Robert Sands

1720) Susan Ruo Rock

1721) Tiffany Mora - I am 26 years old and moved from Downtown HB to the Shorecrest neighborhood so I can start my family. I loved the fact that the parks and Christian School were walking distance. I am angry that the school board is trying to take away the main reason I moved here instead of anywhere else in Orange County. And to potentially build a bus yard ?? I truly do not want the HB City School District to sell our school sites!

1745) Chris Quenneville

1746) Evelyne Coyne - I am sick of the double standards of caring for our children. Everywhere you go there is a "help our school" program but when there is a school that is teaching the children right from wrong and is self sufficient we want to shut it down. How about "the children are over weight"" Away with the computer games, they need to play more outside and burn the fat, but there is no fields for them to play on and no side walk according to the new construction designs. The developers make enough money. Each time you need to do something on your house it's in the thousands of dollars. Putting money above the children is disgraceful. By the way, all the people that have children in private school, what is the potion of their Tax money use for? ENOUGH WITH THE GREED!!!! ENOUGH WITH THE HYPOCRISIES!!! REALLY PUT THE CHILDREN FIRST FOR A CHANGE.!!!!

1747) Francie Brehm - We do not need any more houses, etc. There are so many children being born now and within the past few years there has been such a baby boom we will need those schools and h.b. will make more money if those families don't have to leave and live in different cities for the children to go to school.

1764) Chris MacDonald

1765) Eileen Murphy - Have a little foresight and don't sell the schools. Lease them. Neighborhoods have outgrown the schools and the owners sell when their kids are gone to young parents who's children need schools. If you don't remember history you have to relive it. Remember this is not a new development. It's been a decision of generations to decide.

1766) Scott Smith

1768) David R. Shostak - I have found the Christian School at Burke Elementary School property to be an excellent tenant within the Huntington Beach Community. Thier property improvements and concerns about their neighbors have enhanced the community.

1835) Veronica Thompson - What is our District coming to? We've already shut down many schools over the years. This state will have no land left! All we do is build and build for money! A new DO? New Bus yard? You've got to be kidding me! More houses in the middle of our neighborhoods would be awful. Then what will they do when they have many more kids that can't fit into our schools that still exist? Open another school? More houses will bring more kids also. We need to save our school sites. Turn them into other things. A library?......something, not houses!

1840) Cara Jones - Selling chool sites, which is land - a finite resource - is short sited. Also, this community does not need additional homes built which will result in more traffic. The two recent fatalities should illuminate that fact. Lastly, has anyone given any thought to the irony in proposing to selling school sites, then offering the land to developers to build homes, resulting in a need for additional schools? The only acceptable option would be to keep the parks and green space for our children. Studies show that open space in a community is directly correlated with crime levels and student achievement, to name two benefits. The answer lies in merging the school district and eliminating the exorbitant overhead of the school board. However, what chances do we have that they will do what's best for our community and ultimately our children by voting to eliminate their high paying jobs? Thank you for this opportunity to submit my point of view. Please let me know what I can do to help this important cause. Cara Jones -home owner - HCS/Burke tract

1853) Jose R. Cilliani, D.O. - I was extremely upset when I learned about the school district planning to sell these lands for housing development. Currently, I am leasing a house looking for something to buy in HB. I'm starting to think about moving somewhere else that has more parks. It's completely understandable why HB homeowners are very upset and want to recall those making the decision. Since the market is still headed downward for sometime, I'll probably wait this out and see what happens. If the development proceeds I won't buy in HB that's for sure.

1885) E. Sue Hanlon - I have followed this, and went to one Board meeting at Lebard. I did not feel they were really listening to the people who spoke against this, or that much would change their minds. It's a total outrage. When they need new schools, for the students in the houses that will be built, where do they intend to get them? They are very short sighted. Sue Hanlon (longtime homeowner in H.B.

1928) Elise Tower

1929) Kathryn O'Connor - A developer looks at open land and sees dollar signs. A child looks at open land and sees a playground -- a blank canvas to paint one's dreams at the age we can still dream. My vote goes to our children.

1959) Richard Carpenter

1960) Suzanne Kelly - We have enough development in HB and need to keep the open space we have or turn the school into a Library for the other side of Huntington Beach.

1961) Elaine Rivest - Please leave the little open spaces we have intact! We do not need more houses there is already plenty of development!

1962) Ronald Brewer

1966) Barbara Guyer - I do not want the school sites sold to developers.

1967) Norma Leivan

1968) Mr David Struck - The open space and availability for use as is currently being done is very important to the community. Proper management of funds is also important, and must be within budgeted allotments for the system to survive. The tax payers are not deep pockets for the School Board to tap or to sell off public use, or income, properties to solve questionable fiscal management problems.

1983) dorothy w jones - After the older population dies off and the houses are sold to younger families, where are the kids going to go to school. Burke by me has expanded, where will those kids go?

1984) Marcia Thorpe - Our children deserve to have clean, safe fields to play on in their own communities. They should not have to travel to fields in other areas to play their sports. These schools who are leasing the properties are doing a great job of maintaining the schools and property around it and they fit well into our neighborhoods. Leave well enough alone.

1985) Alan Ouye - I do not want the Huntington Beach City School District to sell school sites to developers. We want to have them preserved for school and community resources, both now and in the future.

2010) Alicia Loomis - I think it would be a shame for the Huntington Beach City School District to sell these school sites to developers.

2011) Faye Hanoian

2012) Kathleen Grunwald - We recently bought a home in Meredith Gardens. What drew us to this tract was the park, tennis courts, and access to the bicycle trail! Wouldn't it be nice if for once if we thought about the children instead of the "mighty buck."

2013) Joe DiFebo

2014) Mark Rule - I was involved in the fight to restore CSR 3 years ago with many of the present board members. I am not impressed with any of the logic given as to selling the sites and feel that this current board makes decisions that are always a short term or band aid solutions at best. However, we reap what we sow - those same board members are elected by us and we have had recent elections so unfortunately we now have to abide by their decisions.

2015) Crissy DiFebo - PLEASE - No more development SAVE OUR SCHOOLS!!!

2016) Jennifer Toyama - I can't believe the school district would considering selling the only area's we have for our children to play. And would contribute to devaluing our community.

2017) Mark Toyama

2018) Deryl Robinson - The land belongs to this community and should be kept as a community resource. It's not just the school board's decision. If it must be taken off the school district's ledger, it can only be sold to the city.

2028) Jack Wood - The school district has an obligation to the children of Huntington Beach. Budget issues can be solved in a variety of ways. It is possible to divest the district of these properties, while ensuring that they are preserved to serve the city and its children. Work toward a solution that meets everyone's objectives. 2041) Debbie Cooper - I am absolutely against selling the school properties and I do VOTE.

2042) Kim Islas

2054) Julie Rose

2055) Rebecca Baak - Board Members; I am strongly opposed to the selling of our school sites. They provide the much needed extra-curricular activities that have been cut from our school programs i,e; the AYSO soccer fields & the Seaview Little League Fields in particular. We community members have put a lot of time and money into these sites. It would cost a lot of money to have to rebuild them elsewhere which would greatly increase the costs of these activities. That would really impose a financial strain on many of us who put a lot of money into PTA events and other school programs. We basically fund many programs in our schools. It is especially upsetting when I realize that the funds from these sales would not benefit our school sites or teachers in any way. Do not sell these properties.

2073) Linda Ester - SAVE OUR SCHOOLS!

2074) Ralph Hupka

2075) Carin Crayne

2076) Bret Bauer - I am very disappointed with our school district! Trying to solve the District's problems by selling off land that is being used for important purposes is wrong! The sale of any of the school properties and using the proceeds for district offices/bus yard is also wrong! This is a band aid on a gaping wound. Let's find a realistic solution to the financial crisis our district must be in to even consider selling the schools to a developer for building more homes. If we keep building new homes, eventually we will need more schools to educate all the new kids in the district! We should all be ashamed of ourselves for voting for these people!

2077) Bruce Bergevin - Every tract has it's own park (they just happen to be school sites. These parks/neighborhoods are what makes HB such a desirable place to live. Take these away and we become just another crammed "intercity" place to live. Every time we go to Irvine my kids make a comment like, "Look at all the parks and space, why don't we live here?". They are rightfully impressed with Irvine's "planned community" concept. HB's original "planned community" was to make the builders of the tract homes give up space for these "parks" and school sites. The School District doesn't seem to care about these wonderful concepts that our earlier City leaders envisioned. Let's not let some shortsighted politicians ruin our beautiful city.

2094) Suzan Bersch - PLEASE do not be short sighted in selling open space for pennies. KEEP this space and continue to lease it for the income in the long run will far out weigh the income in the short run. I have lived in H.B. for 42 of my 46 years and it would be a detriment to H.B. to loose these open spaces. We need to think of the future for our children and where they will send their children to school. DO NOT SELL - Thank you

With more people, and less schools & parks, you run the risk of over -populating our schools, thereby changing the student-teacher ratio, therefore the quality of our children's education is hurt. Also, less land for our after school sports programs, mixed with an increase in population, equals more crime. Is this really the future that you want for H.B.???

2107) Troy Arrington

2108) Christiane R Woerner

2109) Bryan H Woerner

2110) Trisha Winegarner - Taking away these school sites cause children to go out of your community into a community like ours in Garden Grove. Why would you want to do that? We play your SHB softball teams...please do not do this to the families and athletes in your community. They deserve better. Keeping kids out of trouble, away from drugs...that's what sports do. Please reconsider doing this. Why is it always about money? Think about the future of these kids.

2111) Alicia Zschach

2112) Andy Zschach

2113) Tammy Perez

2114) Kimberly Moore

2115) Lisa Baca - I don't want the HBCSD to sell our school sites to developers.

2116) Trans Baca - Do not sell the school sites to developers.

2117) Alicia Desmond

2118) Nesip Tarcan - I am against selling the school sites.

2119) Siobhan Martin

2120) Kimberly Capizzi - Please do not take away the resources from our family's. We need these irreplaceable resources for ourselves and our children!!!

2122) Robert Schaaf

2123) Brenda Mah-McCaa

2124) Debra Grommersch

2125) Steven Sanchez

2128) Tom Vladovich

2129) Susan Ludwick

2130) Lanny Ludwick

2131) Mary Kate Ludwick Kennish

2132) June Duarte - Please do not sell these properties. Our green and open areas in HB are so limited and once they are gone they are gone!!! Please do the right thing! Sports teams, families, children, joggers and pet owners all use these parks and enjoy them! Thank you

2133) Lynette Lilley - Attn: Huntington Beach City School District I have resided in Huntington Beach my entire life just as both of my parents and my grandparents. I have watched the over development of this city and although some is necessary, much is not! The last thing this city needs is MORE HOUSING and sorry, the school district can continue using its current building. Why do we need a fancy new building for the district office or a bus yard? Isn't there an alternative location that will not require so much money? Why not reduce the elevated pay scales of some of our school administrators? And, shouldn't the PEOPLE of Huntington Beach make this choice???? After all, we pay for all this. This should be about the children and it appears that this is more for the people employed by the district. Developments would result in more cars and more traffic. The traffic is already horrible and more traffic lights have been installed to accommodate the traffic which means a drive from one end of Huntington Beach to the other can take up to 30 minutes! We need open spaces to accommodate outside activities. Where do the young people go for their activities? When we remove those areas, young people will look for other ways to keep themselves busy. That means an increase in crimes since many of the parents nowadays work long hours to pay for these high priced homes. Lets keep these sites undeveloped for the children and for the future of Huntington Beach.

2134) Alene Jenner

2135) Patricia Drazkowski - Once this land is sold, we will never be able to afford it again. What happens if we need this space in the future? Also, the soccer fields, baseball diamonds and open green space make our neighborhoods beautiful. The private schools currently leasing the land are wonderful neighbors.

2136) Rosemarie McKowen-Miller - Not keeping the sites, especially with 2 leased, is really incompetent thinking--once the sites are gone, it is FOREVER!

2137) Jerry L. Miller

2138) Steven McKowen

2139) mary romero

2140) ken clapp - I was born here and the fields we played in had to change for property sake, for the growth to start. Stop the greed and lets utilize these properties to breathe.

2141) Russell Ayers

2142) Denise Wada

2143) Anne Mason

2144) Elizabeth Monica White - The administers do NOT need a new building nor do we need a fancy parking lot for school buses. How many children are bused to school in Huntington Beach? Too much money is wasted on administers and NOT enough wisely spent on children. Take back the money that goes to the admin people and give it to the children. You will have much more than you need. Thank you.

2145) Jacqueline White - Please stop taking from the children and giving to politicians. Yes, if they are voted in, they are politicians. Please stop stealing from children to line the pockets of those being paid too much for doing nothing. The REAL teachers (few and far between, but they are there

2146) Diane Sabba - Thanks for the good work.

2155) Shannon Hayward - My son goes to Cub Scout meetings at Lebard.

2156) Cathy Gabourie

2157) Randy Allen

2158) Andrea Eckles-Lopez - why should we sale to developers...don't you think we already have enough here in HB, this is something that will not support our children's future and the ones to come for other families in time, don't take the schools away from them and the community!! "Huntington Beach City School District": ""DON'T SALE!!!""

2159) Steve Vasquez - Dear H.B. City School Board Members, Your intention to possibly sell one or more of the district's vacant sites is unfortunately very short-sighted & would be detrimental to our area. These IRREPLACEABLE sites serve as vital areas for kids to play baseball, soccer, softball, as well as many other outdoor activities. Adults use these areas to exercise, socialize with neighbors, walk their dogs, or just play with their families. Aside from school sites, there is virtually no "open space" in south H.B., and any decision to sell one of these sites would not only have a huge negative impact on current residents, but on future generations as well. As you know, once a site is sold & developed...it is GONE FOR EVER! "Open" space NO more. When you decide the fate of these sites, give serious thought to the impact of your decision. It's not just about the money. Hopefully, preserving our quality of life is as important to each of you as it is to thousands of H.B. residents. Your votes will give us the answer!

2160) KATHRYN MATTHEWS - WE WILL NEVER GET THEM BACK AND WE WILL CERTAINLY NEED THAT SPACE IN THE FUTURE...CAN WE LEASE THEM OUT FOR SPECIFIED PERIODS OF TIME, WITH THE SCHOOLS GET THE $

2161) La Vergne Rosow, Ed.D. - Once a piece of high-density land is sold, it will never be restored to the public. We need MORE public land to accommodate our current population. If there are extra school rooms available today, why not use them as recreational spaces--for children, youth, adults, and seniors--until the inevitable shift in our population occurs? That said, at the present time, we have way too many children in our classrooms. Surely the School Board members can think of ways to reduce class size when there is space that appears to be surplus. If there is not enough money for more credentialed teachers today, alternatives that would lead to a more literate community might be considered. Reading Clubs? Library extensions? Science projects? Enrichment for gifted and special needs children and their families? Parent/Child reading events? I understand that some specialized boards may get caught up in turf issues when alternate use discussions take place. It is time to change that. We need elected officials and staff whose priority is to serve the citizens of Huntington Beach. I am willing to do volunteer work on pro-literacy concepts.

2162) David Guerrero

2163) Steven Sandys - We have moved to Huntington Beach and obviously did not vote for the current board. I am impressed with HB's families' and community member's involvement on this issue. Preserving the school sites is really a no-brainer to me. It is really hard to understand why anyone on the board would not agree. Sounds like they already have a great tenant at HCS.

2164) Rebecca Sandys

2165) David Schuberth - We need to save our open space.

2166) Tom Simpson - I don't know where to begin. NO, the last time you tried to float this insane idea, NO this time, and NO the next time. You (the board

2167) Christopher Webb - Bad idea. Keep the sites as they are. We need them!

2168) Larry Barker - Maybe its time to consider recall?

2169) Ellen Postiff

2170) Mark Julstrom - Once these public assets are gone, we can never get them back. No matter how convincing the school district is in needing to do this, it is still just a temporary solution to ease fiscal challenges while forever eliminating these public sites.

2171) Dave Malpass

2172) Teri Malpass

2173) Elise Crocker - Stop the nonsense and listen to the citizens of HB. We don't want you to sell these school sites. HCS and Brethren have been great tenants and are a part of our community. They maintain the properties nicely and provide valuable open space to our neighborhoods.

2174) Ana Avila

2175) Wendy Mascoli

2176) Tom Mascoli

2177) Paula StarCarneal

2178) Anne Hudson - Thank you for your time with this effort. I could support the Walmart sale on Beach Boulevard because of its location. We need the sites of land locked school for open space.

2194) James Howard

2195) Laurel Howard

2196) Paul Guptill - In my opinion, any sale of any school sites is a short term, short sighted approach to management of school district and community assets. These neighborhoods are turning over to young families with children with the near future demand for school space. The future of this community depends on these schools and open spaces to remain in the community now and in the future. Do we want busing of students to different communities to go to the nearest school? NO! Does the School Board need new offices except to boost their egos? NO! Has the Board demonstrated the need for new offices except their own convenience and ego building? NO! At what cost to the rest of us who live in the community does an new district office really burden the residents? Social and financial costs that are not even measurable in dollars. Where do the new families in these new homes send their children to school? Looks like a busing question if there are not enough school classrooms in SE Huntington Beach. The Board members have admitted in public meetings that they do not know if the money from a sale of school property can be used for what they want. This was a legal ruling that came out after the sales of the schools was already started. The fact that the Board is continuing to move forward blindly with the sale demonstrates their ineptness at managing the citizens assets. It leads us to believe that the sale of the school sites is a very self serving motive of the Board Members. Thus, there is the appearance of a conflict of interest on the part of Board Members.

2197) Noel Dela Llana

2198) Roxanne Dela Llana

2199) Judi Reiner - Have the board take a look at Oceanview re selling of sites.

2200) Emma Tiebens

2201) Stephanie Satterfield - For the health of our children, do not sell our school sites!

2202) Donna Lowary - Oh, please save our last open space!!!

2203) Doug Lowary

2204) Patricio Barahona

2205) Michele Bower - We need to preserve what we have in our community. Please save these schools for our children.

2206) Anthony Eden - I do not want the Huntington Beach City School District to sell school sites to developers. I want to have them preserved for school and community resources, both now and in the future.

2207) Cassie Marquez

2208) Audrey Galaz

2209) Vincent Galaz

2210) Kim St Laurent

2211) Linda Bearden - So what happens after closing all these schools and the next baby boom hits? I see a mad scramble to get teachers hired and the site reopened. History has a way of repeating itself, don't you think? (i.e. Peterson was originally Coastline Community College

2212) Nancy Stuart

2213) Coleen Kaae - Save our community, hold on to the assets we have and make the best use of the land to pay off debt.

2214) Adam Kaae

2215) Heather Ferrini

2216) Frankie Ferrini

2217) Phyllis Butland - This is a reprehensible practice that our school system has.

2218) Tyler Ratzlaff

2219) William P Sacco - I was a member of the Huntington Beach Community in the 1980's. I Google Earthed the area to see the changes since 1986. What I saw appalled me. What are you doing to one of the greatest beach communities in existence? YouÆre already over crowded. It's a shame that what was once a jewel is now common. If the School Board feels the necessity to build new office space why donÆt you use the land in the drainage canal? Perfect place for a bunch of over paid over bearing self righteous miscreants. Educate yourselves in diversity and let this community retain what little remains of its once stellar uniqueness.

2220) Denise Azevedo

2221) Ken De Marco - Let's not make our community pay for the bond debacle that left the school district with an 11.4 million dollar debt. Let's keep the long term income from the leases not punish the children who play Little League baseball and AYSO soccer.

2222) Daniel Morgan - Hands off our parks!! HB's future does NOT lie in the destruction of athletic facilities. We should be PROUD of our parks and facilities, rather than viewing them as surplus land available to the highest bidder!

2243) Kathy Colbert

2244) Steve Omori - Huntington Beach is a highly desired community, if we turn it into a metropolis is will become yet another faceless city.

2245) Diane Gribb - This is an unnecessary and extremely narrow sighted response to our school fund crisis. Reduce administration and school execs pay and stop the unnecessary spending.

2246) Michael Ross

2247) Lauri Few

2248) Mary K. Dana

2249) James J. Dana

2250) Dan Kerins - Please don't sell our school sites. It's the wrong move.

2251) Sam Moses - Please use good judgment and do not allow our schools or fields go away!!!!!!

2252) Michael Coyne - Huntington Beach does not need more development. Do not sell any of the school sites. School sites are for the children, for school, softball, soccer, football, baseball and other open area activities that keep our kids moving & healthy. Again, please DO NOT SELL any school site. Thank you.

2276) Glenn Colehamer - THERE IS NO WAY CAN WE ALLOW A BAND OF MISGUIDED SCHOOL BOARD PERSONS, WHO SEEM WELL CONNECTED WITH SOME GREEDY LAND DEVELOPERS, TO DESTROY OUR PRECIOUS NEIGHBORHOODS AND OUR CHERISHED OPEN SPACES!!!

2277) Janice M. da Silva

2278) Robert Long

2279) Alison Goldenberg

2280) Catharine Hulsy - I do not want the Huntington Beach City School District to sell school sites to developers. I want to have them preserved for school and community resources, both now and in the future.

2281) Matt Crocker

2282) Mark Harrer

2283) Kevin Martin

2284) Melanie Pauli - We need the school sites, parks, and fields for our community and our children. We need LeBard park for Seaview Little League and it would be horrible to give it up.

2285) Greg Pauli - We do not want our school sites sold to developers. Districts have a tendency to look for short term solution for long term situations. School districts like to always re-invent the wheel and not learn from the mistakes of neighboring school districts. The district needs to evaluate the issues as to the cost effectiveness as to their decision of the disposition of the properties. Keep the "good" paying tenets in their present location. They have improved the properties and maintained them. The tenets have been good neighbors and should remain in their present sites. There is no need to play musical chairs. Goodwill goes a long way and there is no need to bite the hand that feeds.

2286) Rick Whipple - Please do not sell our baseball fields and le bard park we need more athletic fields and open space not less!!!!

2287) Jessica Einck

2288) Kaitlin Morrill - "its for the kids!"

2289) Emily Parisi - I think the school district should lease the property not sell. You never know when we might need the schools again. There is a current baby boom.

2290) Alexis Delulio

2291) Timothy Goebel

2292) Sean Griffith - It would be wrong to sell the school sites. These properties must be saved for the future of our community. If these properties are sold to developers the community will never be able to use these sites again for anything. Youth sports are a big part of what this community is all about. We need these sites for our youth sports. We have enough homes already. We all must protect our great community resourses for the future of our community. Look at San Pedro, they have a big problem finding room to play little league baseball. Developers have taken up all the available space for homes and department stores. We can't let that happen to us. Come on, make the right decision.

2294) John Risvold

2295) Gloria Risvold

2296) Philip H. Arnold

2297) Susanna Prentice

2298) James Prentice

2299) Dan Kerins - For our children's sake, and for the future children of our wonderful community here in SHB, please don't sell our scholl sites to developers. If they must be sold, they must be sold to the City of HB for the purpose of preserving our open space & all that comes with that. Please do the right thing!

2300) Ellen Guccione - It is vital to the community that we preserve these sites and not sell to developers. The district should be actively looking to lease the Kettler site to help defer some of the costs. Someone should be accountable for why this property has not been actively marketed for lease.

2301) Jeff Boyles - Schools and parks are the fabric of our community and social culture. Without them, we lose property values - which in turn has longer term negative financial impact to the city with reduced property taxes, etc. Eradicating the schools and parks is extremly short sighted. Think about it.

2302) Kayla Fulmer - i think its a bad idea because the kids that go to that school would have to move to a different schools and it would make those schools over crowded.

2304) Bill & Molly Hudak

2305) Jessica Craig

2306) Bryan Pavalko

2307) Raul Arbiso

2308) Paige Hubler - this issue is rediculouse you can't just take all the fun out of children's lives for money you are destroying parks, little leage fields, and worst of all. public schools where kids feels safe at and attatched it's just wrong!!!!!

2310) Ron Dulac

2311) Brehz Dulac - where have all the children gone. long time passing. where have all the children gone. long time ago. they have gone to other towns, with schools all around. when will they ever learn. when will you ever learn. keep our schools so us kids keep learning

2315) Susan Choi-Kim - this is awful! please do not ruin this beautiful city by taking away the schools and parks.

2316) Mikel Hogan - As a HB resident since 1973, Huntington Beach needs to preserve all school sites for use by our community now and in the future.
